  • I visited S.M. Studios (Mulund) today,
the owner there Amresh?, said that the LS2 helmets available in other stores may be from Thailand & a bit doubtful and that the LS2 that he has are from Spain. He says that he pays all the customs and everything etc.....
Just wanted to know if any one of you have heard of this before, LS2 from Thailand and Spain?

LS2 helmets are headquartered in Spain; they have factories in China that produce these helmets. Don't know whether they have in Thailand. But they may have a manufacturing plant there.

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
      The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

      • Hi all,
I am planning to buy a Helmet with price range between 5k to 6k. I am interested on NUVO helmets. But why nobody include this one in buying list in his thread. Is there many cons in NUVO range helmets. Any review or experience on this could be really useful for me.
Since I am going to buy CBR tricolour next month, I like one model in NUVO helmets(Union UK) which i feel suits much better with my bike colour combo. Anyway this is just one of requirement, But high priority given to product quality, safety and comfort.
        So any suggestions?

        Thanks in advance!

          • Hello Dear Friends and Experts,

I am from Chennai and own a hero honda super splendor 2006 model. I am a very cautious driver, and am using the roadside helmet which after falling two times from vehicle petrol tank to ground, (you know what i mean) i had kept it on petrol tank and it slipped and fell down and got scratches and cracks. Now i have decided to buy a ISI mark good quality helmet at reasonable cost, i cant afford 3.5k - 5k like other pro members buy. I have seen vega, steelbird, wrangler etc type indian brands. So can anyone suggest me a good helmet with cost pref less than 1000 rs, which is lightweight ,, and is of good quality . Also forgot to tell i am a very cautious driver and dont drive rashly. I live in chrompet so any markets / shops near chrompet tambaram are there? Or even if you tell me any other good shop in chennai i wont mind going there once to buy a helmet. Please do help me .

You can upgrade if you feel you need to match your bike's color or your personality, then it's time for an update. If not, then this helmet is more than enough.

Not to be rude but if you can afford a Honda CBR150, you should be able to afford a better helmet. Details of which helmet and at what price are available on this thread.

Safety is just as good, though not as expensive helmets, it offers basic protection which is more than enough for "normal use" If you plan on touring / frequent long tripper, I suggest you go in for a decent quality helmet. You have LS2, Studds Ninja, VEGA etc etc. All should be good for touring. That being said, what suits you is what counts!

                          Cheers!

It should I guess. But make sure, you get the visor mechanism checked. Because even new models come with the same visors, so that shouldn't be a problem. All you have to keep in mind is the model of the helmet, because visors aren't really different that much, just a few curve or an extra bend is all that makes the difference.

It should fit fine, depending on the model.

                            Cheers!

Correction - LS2 is not headquartered in Spain. They are a Chinese company - MHR Helmets which owns the LS2 and Nuvo brands. Source - LS2 website - LS2 The name LS2 is actually an abbreviation of the family name that owns the company Liao's System. Source - MHR History
