these are AGV-MPA helmets which are again plastic buckets, these are not real AGVs that we all see. AGV never made anything 'specially' for India, there range starts from 20-21k for K4 model, if you are lucky , you might get K3 in a little less range than K4

pranav, BELL are a complete breed altogether, and at 6k is not a genuine one you could expect it to be.Originally posted by prateek2210 View PostBuddy, AGV in 6k....are you kidding me?
Bell in 6k.......not in India atleast, get it shipped, will easily cross 9k mark.
HJC : Might get some models, expect very less features/colors
HJC and AGV are all upwards of 7k for the basic model, have seen them and worn them too, both AGV and HJC. Fit wise both are almost the same, tried L on both and HJC had a little more good field of vision than the AGV.
As a matter of fact, there are lots of helmets in that range. For a decent helmet, you can try SparX or HJC both are good helmets and the latter a tad better than most helmets out there, purely for fit and finish reasons.Originally posted by MAD BIKER View PostHi guys!I was thinking of buying a new helmet.Budget is 5-6k.Suggestions please
You can also try SOL at <>=5k it's a good entry level helmet.
But if you'd ask me I'd personally suggest you to look for HJC or SOL.
Cheers!

The girl said, 'NO!'
And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

Re: Helmets
I was reading Helmet forum since 10-12 days. My need was daily 24 km city drive and sometimes for highway ride.
today purchased a full face helmet LS 2 FF 350 Phobia.
Tested three different brand for wearing comfort 1. Studds Ninja 3G 2. Vega Boolean 3. LS2 FF350.
First tested Ninja 3G and Boolean but not feeling comfortable than tried Phobia and feeling was line no match to previous two.
Can't say or decide about safety/protection standard between these three helmets. Only thing was price Ninja rs 1700 , Boolean rs 1800 and Phobia rs 3150.
Picked Phobia For rs 3k. Well that was 1k over spending as my budget was max rs 2k. But after wearing can't resist to buy Phobia.
There is one doubt regarding Helmet Standard that is a Sticker "ECER22-05" on back of the Helmet.( See Picture).
This standard sticker is removable. I think Helmet Standard should be printed on it.
Phobia Owners please clear my doubt for real and fake LS2 helmet.
I purchased from Authorized LS2 Sub dealer only. I don't want to take the chance on my head.

Nothing wrong, it's 1k difference. Indeed before my AIROH, I was so keen on Shoei or a good AGV, but now I feel I should have waited a little longer for my Shoei. But there's always a next time.
PRS guys retail the genuine stuff that are sold internationally, but although a tad expensive.
Whoops, that X indeed makes a difference, lol.
Cheers!

And for some reason I love the Shoei lid much better than AIROH. But both are excellent helmets.

Re: Helmets
I am not sure about AP but you get genuine Sparx in Orion Motors, Bangalore. Price starts from somewhere around 7500/- INR. If you feel, you're gonna change you helmet sooner, I suggest you to wait for your brother. Otherwise, SOL isn't a bad buy either.Originally posted by Sandeep Patnala View PostAm planning to buy a Sparx helmet or a SOL helmet as they are in my price range( 6k) .
