im still waitin for the compensation of my lost helmet..... i was thinkin since il be havin 2.5k..... is cross ,fastrack or mpa-agv a good comparison??iv used the fastrack before...few pages ul see the pic as well..... so im thinkin... also id rather buy a gloss plain black n pimp it up..sticker style


also i found this lid wen i was searchin some info on visors....this lid is expensive but damn innovative

Finally after reading through lots of pages and wait-watch-game , i ordered a new helmet.. since it was getting too risky without my old helmet (damn tht a$$ who stole it).
Tried 2.5k Vega, was too tight for my face (although loved its quality and padding), also tried some AGV's, Index's and STM's, but finally ordered a Gloss Black Ninja3G (It fits like a dream and fit/finish has improved considerably, seems like Studds have finally realized tht Vega is capturing the Indian market ).

Waiting to see the Ninja 3G. Had the Ninja Decor 2 long back. Used it for 4 years&donated it to my friend who is still using it. It had excellent padding&is still going strong!

I have the same one.. the build quality is nice and the fitting is really awesome.. its light weight too... the 1st thing I changed was the visors.. i took off the tinted one and got myself a plane one...

Buying a new costly helmet

Hi Guys,

As some of you might be aware that I had a crash recently... and my helmet (Daijya) got hit on the roadside milestone. Its not cracked, only the paint on it has chipped.. due to scratches. Though it saved my face/head, ideally I should replace it because as it is advised not to use a helmet already used in a crash. In that case I am looking forward to get a Sparx/KBC/JR/Marushin/Daijya helmet. My budget is around 6-8k (which can go upto 12k if needed), so I went ahead to checkout Sparx/KBC helmets at PRS, Mumbai.

The guy there said that even if you drop the helmet on the ground, it becomes useless... and hence should not be used furthur as it may not provide optimum safety (I knew this funda already.. thats why went to checkout helmets). Now my question is.... does investing in such a HQ helmet mean saving your head from just one crash? And after the crash just throw away that helmet... and again invest in a costly helmet? Does that make sense?

So, now everytime I ride my bike, I'll be worried not about crashing... but shelling out money for a new helmet if it touches the ground .
As far as I feel, any (safety standard compliant) helmet can save your head properly atleast once... be it a Vega/Studds/any other brand. So whats the use of buying such a costly helmet... is it just show-off... when will we get helmets that can be used even after a crash?

And if I don't go for a helmet change after a crash... how unsafe am I riding with that crash wala helmet?

+1: Additionally chetan I would wish to contribute.My daijya just rolled of the sofa and there's a small crack (i had posted pics sometime back)on outside plastic surface.I still feel it's safe to ride as the actual polystyrene or whatever the inside stuff is doesnt actually get an impact with such a small ,slow fall .
Our motor bhai has already crashed twice on his vega.
