    • Yesterday while coming back from office on one of the redlight i spotted a guy on splendor, he was a perfect just another commuter, but what get him noticed was a Red & white combination Helmet resing on his shoulders (almost).
What was so special about this helmet? Tha answer was five alphabets written in a particular order S H O E i. I was like . The helmwt was in bad shape. The visor was scratched, paint was chipped, one side visor holding plate was broken.
I tried calling this guy but he failed to hear me in the traffic noise, i followed him to next redlight, managed to ask him from where he get this.
He told me that he has got it from his brother who owns a second hand imported bike (SBK). He was wondering what so special about a helmet.
I wanted to take photos but my super high end phone dont have a camera.
But i have to what i have to, so on next rd light i asked this guy that do he have a camera mobile? He was like WTF? I told him that i want photos of his helmet and somehow manage to agree him. At last he seems to be happy to learn the fact that he has something so good which can meke people stop him like this.

      • @Bandhav: That was a nice 'catch'..If the story of the SBK is true, then this 'commuter' must be wearing one of the most expensive lids while commuting! As for the condition of the lid, that I cannot really comment on..

I am working on verfying this SBK story, i have already added this guy on my orkut friend list.

Surely the condition of helmet was nothing to write home about, and the only reason for such condition was the fact that this mere mortal is not aware what he got.

I checked the helmet closely and it was clerely sending the message that "I might be old and battered but i am a shoei nothing less."

There are different types of tints that are available..
One is a White + Light Brown option which is pretty good for days and nights...
Then theres a White + Light blue option which is pretty good for days and okayish for nights...

The mercury ones (usually blue or Silver, golden) are a pain in dark nights...

its easy to change dude, takes a min or two... even i use a smoked black visor in the day and clear in the night.
