I think you're slight off track, buddy. AIROH, doesn't manufacture any helmets in Indonesia, and Sunny pointed out some fakes revolving around in AIROH. If someone can get a 12000 buck helmet at 4.3k definitely you've gotta reason there's something to look closely.

If my memory serves me right, AIROH as of now only manufacture their entire range in ITALY.

    Cheers!

    The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

Great choice, I am most certain you will love it, I do. If you don't for some reason, let's know why.

      • So here's the deal, and i would expect blackthorn's reply on this one too... you see, posting on riding gears and helmets at the same time essentially means you just got hands on your salary. :P

SOL SL68s solid flat black or an ls2??

i will be hunting down A H helmets and PRS on the weekend.

        Thank you

Yes, that's really great. But spending and wasting have two different meanings, we all waste at most of the times, but spending on what matters is very much not taken into consideration, at least by me most of the times .. err... let me stop taking classes.

SOL 68S if you need LEDS all along the way and 68S II if you want a the same helmet without the LEDs for hassle free experience, but trust me the LED is real funky, makes you stand out of crowd.

Go for LS2 only as a last ditch if you've changed your mind spending so much on the SOL. It's not that LS2 are inferior, they are one of excellent helmets at a unique VFM proposition. SOL too for that matter.

I'd personally prefer them both. Go for SOL, if you can go a little extra, or if you want best of both worlds go for LS2, you won't regret on them both.

And BTW, you have an excellent signature. Simple and crisp.

          Cheers!

            • Which motorcycle helmet should I buy?

I'm planning to buy a new motorcycle helmet.

Options that I have narrowed down are:
              Nolan N85 or Bell Vortex.

Please help me decide and I'm open to any other suggestions in this price range [around $200] as well.

Note: I did a lot of research in 'http://www.webbikeworld.com' and google and that's how I narrowed down to the ones mentioned above....

Bell and Nolan are both superb helmets, no compromise on that one. But instead of just narrowing down to one based on instincts, do try them if you can, if you're abroad or something. If you can't, then please go back a few pages, one of the user bought a Bell helmet. Fit is important than aesthetics.

                  • Thanks mod for moving the post.

I have been stalking around different posts [mostly tourer posts for quite a long time] and thought it’s time to join the forum as I had few questions about helmet. I searched for a post related to helmet in this forum but was not able to find it. So I was researching in internet about helmets for a week now..

@B7ACKTHORN - Thx for the comment. Yes, I intent to try them before buying and I’m aware that ‘non expensive snug fitting comfortable’ helmet is always better than ‘expensive stylish non fitting’ helmet.

Btw, I plan on buying a KTM 390 as soon as I come to India [in one or two months] and I’ll be the one of our folks to book it on first day when it opens up for booking. Keeping it in mind, I’m eyeing []Bell Vortex Damage Orange Flake Full Face Helmet | 692-827 | J&P Cycles on this helmet assuming that it match the color scheme of the bike and look good.

But for sure, I’ll try the Bell Vortex or Nolan before buying it…mainly to make sure that they fit comfortably..

                      • FINALLY bought an LS2 Phobia(Grey) last Monday at Helmet Paradise, Bangalore. I'm totally in love with it. It has a solid visor. Will buy a clear visor soon for night riding. I'm totally in love with it. Only -ve that I felt is that the visor could have gone one notch higher. Not much of a problem though. Thanks to all who helped me in the decision, especially Blackthorn

                            @B7ACKTHORN - Sent a PM to you..

I went to store to try out Bell Vortex / Nolan N85.

First shop I went didn't have both but had other nice brands like ARAI, Shoei, AGV and other brands called Bilt, Seven o Seven [this is manufactured by Bell].

AGV K4 Evo was in same price range ($200) that I was looking for and tried it. Although size large fit my head, due to it's slightly narrow shell shape I felt two or three pressure points on the head and the helmet weight was not evenly distributed across my head. I was disappointed as it looked cool and had some nice graphics...

So just wanted to try a Shoei that was on sale but it was of size medium....and wow...it was a perfect SNUG [too Snug] fit for my head, had a slight pressure on my cheeks too [to the point that I cannot casually chew a gum without biting my cheeks]. Sales person told that it is how it should be and after a break in period, it will be more comfortable. Little googling also suggested the same...and did all the tests with it as described in How to fit a Motorcycle Helmet - YouTube

...and bought it for $350 right away. It is a 'Shoei RF-1100 Divinity'...

Yes, got your PM, thanks. Much appreciated.
