Coming to the point, got it for Rs 2,400 with 2 years warranty+VAT bill. I went to almost 6 shops at J.C Road for a helmet. The lease I got from almost every one was Rs 2,600. Then went to Megha Enterprises & got the deal for Rs 2,300 & told the guy I need time to think. Then went to a shop(A.N Enterprises) exactly opp to Megha Ent. He quoted Rs 2,400 and when I told him about MEGHA's price the shopkeeper told ,'Sir I will give you any helmet for free if you show me LS2 helmet bill at Rs 2,300(incl VAT) '. So I quickly rushed to Megha Enterprises and to my surprise the sales person completely backed off to his price saying that he said Rs 2,300+VAT of 14.5%. BTW first he also quoted Rs 2,600 and if you do Rs 2300+VAT then it comes to near about Rs 2,633. In whole world why would any shop guy increase the price when trying to convince the customer Man was so angry with that guy, & that shop is completely filled with liars. The owner was trying to lured me to buy that helmet by saying rupee downfall against dollar will result in 200rs increase on all LS2 Now where the hell this affects LS2. If I am correct LS2 helmets are manufactured in India so that was completely irrelevant.
Any way went to A.N Enterprises again & bought the helmet. Attaching the pics. No need for review as just like any other LS2 helmets-Sturdy, good finish, safe, etc

    dear friend ,

LS2 helmets are a brand made by a company called MHR helmets in china ( which makes sparx , kbc hjc etc) .
on lalbagh road everyone keeps ls2 helmets but the only shops who have and give after sales service are megha enterprises , rydercity , helmet paradise and balaji palace)
the price of ls2 on lalbagh road is 2600 and above depending on various factors .
the said place opp megha is not a dealer and they buy from above helmet stores and sell .
AND IF LS2 IS MADE IN INDIA IT WOULD HAVE AN ISI , IT HAS A ECE ( EUROPEAN ) STANDARD .

My dad wears a cheap helmet that he bought from highway sellerd. Told him several times to change it and get studds at the least. And it didnt have any ISI thingy. Finally cops pulled him over and asked him to show his helmet. They said it doesnt have ISI mark so he will have to give his license and pay the fine and get it back but my dad gave rs. 50 as chai paani and left. He came home and was asking me, son what is ISI? Now he uses a studds that i bought for him after that incident.
Also, if you visit mahatrans.com its stated there that they are fining people using non ISI. Have no idea about ECE and DOT etc

If this continues,, very soon we'll no longer see ECE and DOT certified helmets on Indian roads, people will be forced to buy disgusting watermelons and of course not to mention, the risks to injury will simply manifold
On a lighter note, its funny to imagine their thought process in coming up with that kind of a rule give it a try!!

My vega motocross has an ISI but i simply love the SOL metal man and will surely buy one. Screw the cops
If they mess a lot, i will simply get a small printout of ISI and will stick it in the SOL. Then mine will be the first SOL which will be ISI marked these fool pandus should understand that ECE standards are quite higher than our very own ISI thing. But yeah, they dont pull over every second person for this check, what i have noticed is that they pull over people whose helmets look lot weary.

                    Hi Guys,

Thanks all for guiding me to the right place to pick up the right helmet. I picked up the LS2 Phobia for the time being, will pick up a SOL later, will have to personally try it out since I am not very confident ordering it online.

I picked up the LS2 from Biking Terminal in Hyderabad, and somehow am not 100% sure if its an original. Would be great if someone can confirm it from the pics. Paid INR 3500 for the lid and it came with a Iridium/Mercury visor, will need to replace it with a clear one, apparently will have to place an order. Any pointer to purchase it online would be great. Next will head to the Riding Gear thread for gloves and a jacket.

Below are some of the pics of the helmet.

Damn! You paid extra bucks for this helmet like me. I paid 3600 while the everyone in the forum got the same helmet for ~2800.

do not make fun of indian standards, ISI standards are there for some purpose, and they are serving the purpose well. ISI certified helmets are not watermelons... get your facts right,... plz....and then disperse information.if we do not have our own laws/standards, we blame...if we do have our laws/standards, still we blame...

In the end, you made a good choice ............. I think you should buy at least 2 nos. of spare visors, they are worth in stock.
