Thanks VJ,Originally posted by B7ACKTHORN View PostFor 2.5k there aren't any good helmets as such, but you can get decent ones in the form Studds RHYNO and Scopion Cross and LS2 and Vega. But I'd suggest you to look at the Scorpion from Studds and then the LS2.

Re: Helmets
THH is a Taiwanese company and TIH is the Indian name for the same brand where they are manufactured in India (Maharashtra). But their low end stuffs more or less are close to Cross helmets.Originally posted by senotrius View PostGuys, what is your opinion about thh/tih helmets.its made in India but seems Taiwanese in origin? First off, I'd like to kick your arse for going for a bucket as opposed to a rather proper full face helmet.Originally posted by Joel.r View PostGuys I bought a vega off-road helmet and fixed a aftermarket fully covering visor...now the problem is I am getting glares ( single headlamp is seen as double

There is only one solution, and that is to throw that helmet away and get yourself a proper full face helmet.
Now to the real problem, this is where most of us become DEXTER so to speak, they just go to a shop, get something called a visor, and then use it and voila you're set. But a helmet visor is a technology in and of itself as the very shell itself. Cheap, replaceable plastic serve no real purpose as such, worse, they can even hamper your vision. My advice would be, if you face glaring issues, best idea would be go chuck that visor away and get yourself a good goggle, at least it looks good and protects your eyes for the time being.
And there are MX goggles available in PlanetDSG.com and are start at 500-600 rupees .
Kudos. Keep us posted.Originally posted by shubhamjain2000 View PostThanks VJ,

The girl said, 'NO!'

But honestly, why sell it, don't jeopardize the buyer's life. Rather save and get a full face helmet.
P.S : Even googling "helmets xbhp" gives link to this threadLast edited by prateek2210; 07-29-2013, 10:55 PM.Fare thee well xBhp, All the best for being the biggest name in corporate world

Re: Helmets
Relax. You need not sell the helmet, unless one is dumb enough to go for used that too a MX helmet. Perhaps keep it for standby use, just in case if you need it. But I'd suggest you get a good helmet or start saving it for now. In the meanwhile keep using your helmet. It's good to know that you've realized your mistake far too sooner than most. So kudos for that.Originally posted by Joel.r View PostIs there any place where i can sell the helmet???

NO! Never ever oil the mechanism as such as excess oil tends to stain or overtime reduce the visor's abilities. The best idea would be use a *VERY LITTLE* vaseline on those rollers at the side of the pinion mechanism and see how it fares. I did the same to my Vega Formula HP too, it made this creaky noise, so used it and it disappeared. But anything liquid is a big NO NO!Originally posted by TranquilRageMy Airoh helmet's visor 'squeaks' while opening/closing. It's not been a month that I have used it. Am I supposed to oil the mechanism after detaching the visor? I haven't detached the visor to check it out yet.
Cheers!

Absolutely outstanding! I think it surpasses DOT certification. I can also wear it as an accessory for parties on Saturday nights.Originally posted by ankitmahindru View Post

Re: Helmets
For around 2k you can try TIH Helmets, LS2, Cross and Studds Scorpion, Vemar. All these helmets are affordable and better than most low end helmets out there. In Coimbatore there is Aditya Auto and there is another store right opposite to Aditya and then there is Palaniappa Helmet Shoppe lots of it. But I'd suggest you get helmets from Aditya and they stock Vemar.Originally posted by Joel.r View PostYeah...im gonna keep it aside and buying a full face helmet..suggest me a good one for around 2k...since you are in ooty do you know any shop in coimbatore????my friend suggested me vega axor...is it good???

You have this helmet called Vemar and it's absolutely a kick-ass helmet. I literally talked to that sales guy for half an hour inquiring about the stuff, wore it, fit feel, finish is just superb. Try Vemar if you happen to come to Coimabatore.
Cheers!
