Re: Helmets
Recently had a crash and my helmet hit badly in the chin area at around 40kmph .Read some where that helmet develop internal damage and its not adviced to reuse it even for short distance is that true?
If I am forced to upgrade what to do with old one because selling it (its fairly new and well maintained) to fellow biker is not fair.
Shall I get LS2 again or any other brand? Under 5k .

Again, you've gotta visit the showroom for more info.Originally posted by Sid_dha_raj View PostThanks.I saw a couple of pics. Are these visors available seperately?
Once scratched always scratched, nothing can be done. The severity depends on the deepness of the scratch. If you can touch on the scratch and feel any irregularities, then your scratch is severe, but if you don't then it's not that attention requiring. But in both ways, noting is gonna help. Now I know what most people do use some solvent to get ride of the scratch and make it even worse. Remember mirror finish are noting but a silver coating on the inside, so using the wrong solvent might melt or cause blob in the visor. So for now you've gotta live with the scratch.Originally posted by Taahir View PostI tried to maintain the visor of my helmet a lot..but small stone scratched my visor which came flying from of a truck..it was carrying sambar stones I guess

And BTW welcome to helmet reality.
Yes the structural integrity of a helmet is negatively affected when you take a fall especially cheaper and European helmets. Though the helmet would appear absolutely fine, the impact absorption foam inside your helmet would have cushioned your head from the impact and will become hard, and the next time, there is no difference you hitting the obstacle in and getting severe concussion or even worse.Originally posted by Giftonsamuel View PostRecently had a crash and my helmet hit badly in the chin area at around 40kmph .Read some where that helmet develop internal damage and its not adviced to reuse it even for short distance is that true?

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
The girl said, 'NO!'
And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

Re: Helmets
you should drop a mail to SPG Customer care to ask the info and after a getting a reply you may update us too. you should watch a few videos on youtube to see some demo of the pinlock systemOriginally posted by Sid_dha_raj View PostThanks.I saw a couple of pics. Buy a new visor ........ moreover, what I can tell you as per my personal experience that the mirror finished visors are relatively more prone to scratch appearance and so I would suggest to buy a plane and a dark visor to use as per your riding needs.Originally posted by Taahir View PostI tried to maintain the visor of my helmet a lot..but small stone scratched my visor which came flying from of a truck..it was carrying sambar stones I guess

You should upgrade/replace, that is the safest advice I can give. You may take a look at SOL too if you have a budget of 5k. FYI, SOL is available in India through SPG.Originally posted by Giftonsamuel View PostRecently had a crash and my helmet hit badly in the chin area at around 40kmph .Read some where that helmet develop internal damage and its not adviced to reuse it even for short distance is that true?

Hi, as I see that this is your first post I take this responsibility to inform you that you should always search a thread on xBhp before putting up a query. It helps you with previous posts/reviews/advices immediately.Originally posted by godslay3r View PostCan you suggest me a good helmet for my 200 NS......my budget is around 8k......thanks
Anyways as you have asked for a helmet suggestion within 8K, you may look at brands like Airoh, HJC, SparX, SOL. Now your next part of learning is to search xBhp followed these names one by one on google and find out the previous posts, read them and then come back with a genuine query
. It may take you time, but it will be worth it, trust me.
Warm Regards,
Pranav

Re: Helmets
Acebiker are genuine reseller of LS2 in India, and it's better to get from them than elsewhere, and I don't mind paying a little extra to get that extra mile.Originally posted by vikundefined View PostHi guys, i am looking for ls2 ff351 green-black in delhi, but not able to find it. Re: Helmets
VEGA AXOR is a sturdy helmet, and very strong diagonally unlike many other helmets which have a little flex to it. The cushioning and quality level aren't skybound, but you can expect it the range of SOL, both inner and outer quality is good, and it's DoT approved. You also have Cross which is good, but the finish isn't that impressive, I'd say both AXOR and Cross or on par, only sightly behind SOL.Originally posted by truelypulsarian View PostGuys planning to buy VEGA AXOR series impressed by their graphics & price factor.
