Samarth 619 , as everyone here has already suggested their feedback on SOL helmets, I would just add an aye to their opinion and would also recommend that if possible you spend a little more and go ahead with HJC, KBC or Airoh (mainly because of the windnoise and weight)

If you have not yet placed an order, then have a look at this:

Hopefully you get the size that you are looking for

Samarth 619,seems that sparx helmets are also made by KBC.its their econo line up to take on the 100-150$ helmet range.just check the net or their fb page.the quality/fit/finish is much better than Sol.but ventilation is not so great.I have s07 and they only have static air scoops.two 1cm diameter intake and exhaust vents plus the brow and chin vents.@above what say you?

too bad they're not officially here.5year warranty plus free crash replacement in the US.

I followed instructions on Sharp website regarding testing a helmet; when I rotated head from left to right very quickly (< 1 Sec), the helmet is wobbling on my head. It's a bit loose and I'd like to add some padding inside the helmet; are there any dangers in adding padding to a helmet like blocking ventilation or worse any safety risks? Kindly help by throwing some light on the issue. Store guy told me that smaller Medium size may be even more tight at the ears while wearing, so if padding is not an option then I've to look for other brands.

The helmet loosens up further with use. I think you should look at other brands and buy the one that is a snug fit.

Guys which is the best suited for touring purpose
MT AXXIS; Sparx S-07 ; and HJC CL-16 on the increasing order of the quoted price - I know HJC is a premium, but the recent review of MT helmet and the old Sparx lids keep me away to shell out the premium for HJC.
Is the stock of S-07 available in India is years old ?

If you have the budget for CL-16, then go for it without thinking. Its the best out of the three. Also S-07 being an older model have been vastly copied and are being sold in high numbers, therefore my suggestion is to not go for that brand. MT helmets are good, and it would be my second choice. There are MT helmets with multiple shells in their construction, but I dont think that Axxis or Breaking models have such type of construction. You can also try SOLs, they are a bit noisy, but have very good protection.

@ Sudeeep, very much appreicate the MT video you've posted in YouTube, kudos on that part. The part I love about this helmet is the chiseled fin at the rear, absolutely stunning!

P.S. Loved that poster though.

@ Prateek, sorry buddy, I was almost finalized on the MT, but then had other plans.

Cheers!

This is a tricky question, both are good helmets. Though I've had some experience with the former, the latter, even I was sold to the latter but then had other ideas. But when it comes to dual certification and excellent VFM, MT, undoubtedly. There are lots of SparX elsewhere, where a genuine one would cost upwards of 7k sold by PRS, officially. So my pick would be MT eyes closed purely on an VFM basis.

Cheers!

Just bought this SparX buck king helmet from bikegear.in for Rs. 6400/- including shipping from Jaipur to Ghy, Assam. Awesome helmet I must say. So so lightweight & feels so solid compared to my earlier Steelbird lid. I'm 100% satisfied wid the purchase.

Update:
Just came from a ride. Quoting my observations abt the lid.
1. Awesome fit & finish,
2. Super awesome noise reduction (Around 3x more silent than my earlier Steelbird helmet),
3. Superb ventilation- Don't feel hot @ all,
4. So lightweight (Around 70% lighter than my earlier lid)

Conclusion:
Fully satisfied.

Biggest advantage of the SparX lids are dat I find them to be so inconspicuous. Compared to other 6-7k lids SparX lids are pretty down-to-earth. Compare dat to a SOL SF1 Acme with all its LED's luks so showy & attracts a lot of attention.

To me, it looks safer to have LEDs. I don't have one but I feel it adds to the visibility at night.
