What's a "better review"?? From what I've seen, the MT is far quieter and aerodynamic, and just slightly heavier

He must have meant more reviews .
I only have had a brief encounter with MT helmets, but, it seems that SOL 68s have better shell and air circulation than MT. Quality wise I prefer the padding of SOLs to MT. Bu this is just from a brief inspection of MT helmets. Since you already have experience with MT helmets, check SOL and see whether the extra price is worth it or not. My money is on SOL

I had a budget around 4k before I have seen sl68s, but I even had a look at it in SPG chennai, then I decided to extend my budget to 6k. It looks to me a complete package in terms of safety, quality, style and last but not least the rear embedded LEDs took apart to the level where rider's safety is well assured even when he/she stands beside the bike in a dark highway... MT is equally a good one though, but sl68s has really worth 5700 my personal opinion

Hello all,
Now that I have a riding jacket(Zeus) as well as a pair touring gloves(Zeus street rider pro) couple of weeks ago(will post a 5k ride review, now just 1.5k done in them), I'm looking for an upgrade to my year and half old helmet.
I'm looking for a full face light helmet preferably no or minimal graphics and in black or almost black color.
The budget is around 10-12k.
It needs to be light... that's all I need, inc the obvious fact that it must save my shell in case of a fall ! :-D

With a budget of 12k, I would recommend either something by Airoh, HJC, KBC, though if I am not wrong Airoh is lighter.
Sandeep Patnala should be able to throw better light on Airoh helmets.

Also IIRC there are a few CF helmets by Daijya in that range, though I am not sure on availability.

I've checked them both out, borrowed my friends SOL and used it yesterday, at speeds of 110 plus it seems the helmet is pulling my head back coz of the huge huge vents, it stays pretty cool, slightly better than the MT and also slightly lighter, but I feel the MT's shape/dual certification and also the fit is slightly tighter and doesn't move at all, i've decided for the MT, will post pics of the new one

Guys I got identical same helmet and visor. And to shove it to the sniveling thieving low life's, I got a xenos alarm system, locks for both wheels, and an engine immobiliser. Life is safe again.

congrats mate.. Today I went for buying sl68s, sadly they were out of stock and the one kept in the display is little defective, will have to wait until Apr 15 to get the new helmet, but alongside I noticed the MT with stunning shape and graphics just for 3.4k...Now I'm in dilemma whether to stick to sl68s or try out MT

I am using the SOL SL68sII Metalman for the last 3 months.
The fit is good and comfortable for me. However, the wind noise starts at around 80kmph and gets annoying over 100kmph

Might have to start looking for something quiter for touring.

Yeah dude that's really awesome Thanks and how much the theft free alarm and engine immobiliser cost you? I think you badly need them, can't afford to buy helmets every now and then
And as a whole the bike security system ensures 99% safety:thumbup:

The security system was 950 in total, including fitting, Its perfect, slight tugs and nudges set it off, and is loud as hell, Helmets forget buying new ones, I loved the old one :/

Don't use the wheel locks. Only use them if ur gonna rmembr each & evry time to remove dose locks before riding. Coz if dey touch the brake callipers, it'll gradually ruin them ovr time. So, its better not to use them at all.
I had bought wheel locks for my ZMR. Before, the brakes were super silent. But, after the locks hit the brakes once or twice, they started producing screeching sounds from dat moment onward which is still present after 3 months. Goes somewht after thorough cleaning of the discs, but comes bak again. While earlier, they wer super silent without needing ny intervention.
