Guys,
I got it (SparX Shield)for Rs 6800 (was out of budget even after some discount) but generally SparX are priced at around Rs7500. Here I am talking about the new stock (USD has appreciated considerably, as you know). If you are able to find out any older stock of SparX/KBC, then go for it. It definitely costs few thousands higher than other popular & funky counterparts, but build quality, comfort level are much high. Surprisingly SparX is ligher than KBC.
It is lot better than my previous GPR is every single aspect. Only minor niggles are the noise level & difficulty in pulling up the visor (protrusion art only lfet side)
This guys sums it up:
SparX Helmets :: For Riders, by Riders. Ride on

From where you bought it?
Mahalakshmi or chopra?
The helmets looks pretty neat atleast in pic, but pardon my ignorance i have never heard of this brand.
Be prepared tomorrow this brand new acquisition of yours going to be under scrutiny.

I went to the Nagpada(Mumbai) dealer for PlanetDSG. Saw the Daijyas over there, i then went to the Performance Racing Store shop at Tardeo. Must say at least to the eyesight, the KBCs and Sparx are way better than the Daijyas. No i did not try either of the brands on, just felt the interiors and the exteriors. Oh and if you have the cash go for a Joe Rocket Helmet. Nothing could beat that. (Except an original Shoei/Arai/Shark I guess..
)
Yes, the crack is on the plastic vent, but aside from that, guys i believe Darkknight is right in saying that it shouldn't have broken so easily. As a customer, I intend to get maximum bang for my buck but not at the cost of quality. Im not getting into a Daijya bashing session. Having said that, I would also like to state that its upto us to ensure our lids dont take any unnecessary shocks and falls. Agreed its practically difficult but just like how each one of us here take out time to service & maintain our bikes, the helmets too need to be cared for. And check what you buy before you buy it. If it doesn't seem worth it then don't buy it.
I have a pretty old AGV(the old design when it was just new in the market) and a 6 month old Vega Boolean. Personally my next lid would definitely be a KBC or Sparx. Looking for a good replacement for my AGVLast edited by 46wannabe; 02-01-2009, 03:13 AM.10 Commandments:

Also check:
RST Helmets | Cobra-Vent | PC-1 | Race-Vent Carbon Star
The official site probably has pics and details of the 2009 range while the Masai is probably and older one. Just guessing here as thats what it seems like to me
Although I doubt he got himself a brand new one. Kirosh, why don't you post actual pics of your new lid? Would be helpful.....
OT: After Alpinestars(THE most sought after riding gear brand according to me) brands like Oxstar and now RSTStar have come up as competition i guess. Will have to do some research and find
out which of these 3 brands set up shop first.......
UPDATE:
NOTE: Their gear is priced very much lower than similar products from the more popular brands.Last edited by 46wannabe; 02-01-2009, 03:20 AM.10 Commandments:

One of the customer carried this particular Autogreen helmet to showroom, it was catchy, overall finish and quality was nothing to write home about. It boosted a flip up system like Vega Boolyen and extra google visor for halfface mode and yes it was ISI marked.
The highlight of the package - Price: 850 Rs. only/-

Guyz...I went to DSG for jacket & a new helmet.
That 3.5k offer on daijja helmets has finished.
Now they are giving the same helmet for 5.5k.
How good is the choice? Should I go for it?
Can U ppl suggest me some other brand which I can get easily in Pune?
And for the jackets, they told me that they are going to
get the new blue onces in March mid.....
