I bought two MPA-AGV helmets on Saturday from Megha enterprises. One for me and the other for my younger brother. It is the same as that as Maverick46's except that the colours are blue and white for me and red and white for my brother. I went for brighter colours primarily for higher visibility. The quality seemed decent for the price. I paid 2500 for the one with the tinted visor and 2300 for the one with plain visor. Meanwhile, over the next week, I plan to get the Indian tri-color stickered onto the Italian colours. I'l upload pics in the next few days. Also, special thanks to Maverick46 for guiding me.
Cheers,
Jay

Got my Daijya Shivan Dragon today, only to find it screwed up...The front left vent is looking like pasted with an adhesive and came off at the slightest jerk.
Has anyone got their replaced yet?? Alas, I am not in Pune and it might take some time before I get a replacement...
well I myself own a daijya and I have a confirmed reply from planetdsg as well that it is ECE certified.
try a daijya first, it feels far better than others in that price range. if you can splurge some more try to go for an KBC (from Kaulson Racing Products based in Bombay) or an AGV. that's about it.
btw the daijya is good, after several months of abuse the helmet still looks new (finish is great), even the visors can take a lot of abuse before going in for a new one
btw daijya is getting replaced by Marushin in this year. DSG had a clearance sale of daijya's going for about 3.5k. Since the email you have there says that "Indian distributor will be sued" it is baseless because DSG is the only dealer for daijya and they are going to stock marushin from now on (therefore the daijyas went up for sale). So Marushin is going to sue its future dealer ? very unlikely for setting up a new market here. lol
@ Satish
love showing off your helmet huh I wonder if you'd post 100 posts if you had an ARAI or SHOEI helmet bwahahahaha
Thanks for the info. i too felt the comfort feeling of Daijya helmets @ Balaji, but he quoted a high price of 4,500/- and said that they are made from Marushin. So, to clear the air i contacted Marushin.
It's good that Marushin will be available in India.
For the budget that i have (4K), i doubt if i can't get a Marushin even if they are available in India. But still waiting for the price list of Marushin helmets in India.
@HydBiker
Where did u get the GPOne-202 series. I tried it in b'lore, but couldn't get it.
That is a BHP racing helmet, the cost is somewhere around 3k, i am not sure about the availability though.
It is a BHP Racing helmet. Same as the one on the left. The owner (Sumit.Rhl) is missing and you can check with Kriss (owns the left side one) about where they bought theirs. It costed nothing less than 4K. I saw BHP racing helmets in some shops in Abids about 40-50 days back and they were quoting prices upto 6K.
^^Yup this seems to be the case, and these were doubted to be chinese, though the guys using it swear by its quality.
My preliminary observation is that the BHP Racing ones have very good quality and liked them over the Diayja's, except for the graphics. Also, BHP Racing helmets and Vega helmets are ditto same. We have done this study several times as xBhp members in Hyd have them.
Is this fact help proving the credibility of this brand or otherwise?
Nothing to prove... just for info...
may be this helps Vega more than BHP. Those Vegas are available at Rs 2700. For more proof you can check with about half of the active members in Hyd G2G thread
I seriously doubt that, any link or reference to support it?
Okay, at least we know that GPOne's are out of production and anything available is old stock. There was helmet shootout in Bike India last year (you must be able to find this article on their website). Torx looks the same (exactly the same except for the name and may be colours) inside & outside as GPOne. Costs the same. Comes from the same manufacturer - SteelBird. The TORX in their review was also named SB-10 and in a table indicating saftey compliance at the end of the article they mentioned GPOne instead of Torx
