There are lot of drool-worthy affordable stuffs available online, overseas! I just need to know an authentic, safe, reliable and tested procedure.
Can anyone throw a light on this. I have read here in some thread, that as long as the shipment is below INR 15k in value, Customs won't be a headache.
Is it valid now too?(I mean in the "MODI" sarkar) Enough questions for now. Please enlighten me wise souls out here!!!
Revzilla doesn't ship to Asian countries below $300 (had emailed them 6-7months back and got this reply)
As for reliability, they sure are. Have read a lot of positive reviews. Only if i had someone known living in the states

No idea about the customs deal.

    Ride safe and have fun.

Try Revzilla.com. I have bought stuff from them twice, didn't encounter
any problem and 'am very satisfied with their service and
customer service. I used ICICI debit card for payment.

          3. There should be some spares available (I will be buying a spare visor though)
          4. Should fit well
          5. Good air flow
          6. Cool graphics
          7. Safety is of course paramount...

I am in Hyderabad so will prefer a store here where I can try the fit. I won't go to Zeus store.

My budget is 10-15k. For a really really cool lid I can shell out 20 too.

I like the Nolan n63 downtown available at DSG but I don't want to go to pune just to try out a helmet...

If you know a place, please me out.

At around 20k you can get very good helmets, like ICON, HJC, AGV, Nolan and the likes and the likes. First off, it'd be great if you can measure your crown and finalize on the sizes. Helmets are a matter of snug fit, some fit very tight and some run a tad on the looser side for the same given size. So make sure you get your sizes right.

Secondly I'd suggest you look for NOLAN, excellent lids offered by DSG. You can also consider, light weight carbon based helmets like the AIROH from Bachoo Motors, Bachoo Motors. And thirdly you also have NEXX carbon helmets offered by Spartan ProGear, please do check the respective reseller websites for more info. You can go to their contact us and find the dealers based upon your location.

          Cheers!

            • I really liked the Airoh pit one line, but they got only small size in the website. Can anyone please tell me how good it is from the HJC CL 17?

Further, the Zeus store has got some negativity in here. I cannot, but wonder these guys are sponsoring the GICR.
Why encourage them such, on another thought don't you think they are trying hard. There might be a chance that they may actually be trying to polish their tarnished image.

              What do you guys think?

I am nowhere related to them, I just wanted a Sol SF1 helmet which they happen to have. I am sick of waiting for so long, that's it.

              Please share you thoughts.

I'm afraid I don't have that genuinity check ticked, but all I can say is that VEGA AUTO should source them through their authorized resellers for AIROH in which case Bachoo and few other, and NEXX from SPG.

Yes spinoffs occur due to reasons unexplained, but perhaps it could be the older stocks procured from SPG, but again, it all depends on how and where the dealers source it from.

One of my friend used to work for Vega Aerospace and this Vega Auto was located very nearby to it and once when my friend had a chance to visit Vega Auto he happened to see some international brands being tested and build separately apart from normal Vega helmets. My friend isn't much into bikes so he dint bother to ask the helmet brand name or any other information. Am not sure whether its Nexx or Airoh, but when Bachoo guys sent me my Airoh helmet they have put the Airoh box in a Vega box and shipped it to me, i doubt how could they get Vega box !

and more over Vega Auto has stock of Airoh and Nexx spare parts too where some spares of Airoh are not available with Bachoo ..............

Irony indeed. Bachoo folks sent me bicycle helmet, that I ordered for quite a while back in a Vega cover with drawstring. I think these are not all the genuine Vega, these are Indian made Vega helmets and so they pack the helmets with what they have. And this helmet didn't even come with a cardboard box, just a Vega helmet box with a vega helmet drawstring bag. Bachoo are real pain in the posterior when it comes to aftermarket serviceability and stuffs. They didn't even have the PINLOCK I needed for my GP500.

But I guess it could be mutual relationship between VEGA and BACHOO since the former sells the AIROH who's one of the authorized reseller by the latter, so it's not hard to differentiate much in the story, but again it's all one's guess as to where Bachoo get their carton boxes. Box parody eh!

                        Cheers!

Guys I am just curious, as posted above, I checked the link of the Vega Auto. I really liked the Airoh Pit line, am waiting to buy a decent lid ASAP. My search led me to SOL SF1 acme, but after th SPG separation thing, I moved on to HJC, slightly more premium though. Now that I have come this far... I was just thinking if I can get an Airoh for 10k or thereabouts.Just saying that my ride is a Pulsar 200NS. I usually rided 10-15kms a day and occasssional weekend rides.
My concern is, would an Airoh or HJC be overkill for my commutes (or is it just blasphemous, what I said).
and where does HJC CL 17/IS stand compared to an Airoh (~10K) I actually haven't seen/read much about the Airoh(except it being a premium brand).
Is Airoh available in namma Bengaluru?

Now if you have read the last few pages I am searching for a lid from forever( I was even thinking of getting SOL from Zeus, it being the sponsor of GICR and all; but I have been strictly advised not too). I just need a solid, reliable and need I say, cool lid to replace my plastic Steelbird Adonis. I am hopeful of Riding DNA and Let's gear up to get the latest HJC stock soon. Fingers crossed.

Please help a brother out here!!!

Genuineness of many helmet brands in India is questionable as such. Airoh is available in helmet paradise and megha enterprise but needless to say, I am assuming that they are replicas as the dealers aren't mentioned anywhere - Visit & check'em once for the quality et al. On the contrary, HJC from let's gear up is genuine.
I have checked both the lids and found HJC to be lighter; which I think is a criterion in your selection - daily commutes. Take a day out and feel free to examine both thoroughly and decide. Personally, I feel Airoh has better graphics than HJC (unless it is RPHA Lorenzo edition )

And yea, Safety isn't an overkill, I feel.

The new MT blades are coming out today or tomorrow, I've already booked one and they have significantly better padding and a larger shell not to mention better fitting than the current axxis.

I currently own the Axxis and used it for around 13k kms and the blade is a huge improvement.
