I've been riding with the mercury visor on the LS2 for 4 years now, with occasional rides at night. Didn't find it to be as bad as you claim it to be. Visibility is a lot less compared to daylight, but I do fine
Yes, the same guy! He also seemed a little old. I used to find the experience better earlier. I guess it's the case of a bad orange.

And the Mercury Visor, well, I don't know. :P I guess "my point of view" was a little different. :P

I don't hear much of the winds if that's what you're asking. But I do like the helmet. That said, I did find the LS2 a lot quieter. Partly because it was a much more snug fit.

And please stay away from Helmet Paradise. They're a bunch of cheats who claimed Rs. 4000 for a helmet that had an MRP of Rs. 3500!

Please go to Megha Enterprises. They stock the MT range. These chaps at Helmet Paradise wouldn't even show me the MT range!

And no, no mercury visor for the KYT. Or so they claimed. It is available online for Rs. 600 though.

Although, from the one night ride I had with the Mercury Visor of the LS2, I suggest you stay away from it if you will be riding in the night. I found it hard to believe my head lamps were turned on! I even got off the bike to check if the light was working the first time I used the mercury visor.

I am looking for a Smoked Visor, but can't seem to find it for the KYT.

SPG sells its products, including MT Helmets ONLY through its authorised resellers who are all listed on their website. Why would you go into Helmet Paradise who is not an authorised reseller and ask for an MT? That's like walking into an Apple Store and asking for a Samsung. obviously they couldn't show it to you simply because they they don't have it.

Genuinely certified helmets always ship with clear visors only. Iridium and smoked visors are always available only as aftermarket accessories. Get in touch with DSG for the aftermarket visors or Auto Impex, Mumbai who imports the KYT's.

Ping me me if you want his contacts.

      Cheers!

Aah Sunny, if only I knew that before I walked into the store. It's only after I found out about the faulty SHARP rating that I ended up searching around more fervently and found out about other stores being authorized dealers for MT.

I will definitely keep SPG and DSG as my first priority henceforth. I no longer believe in compromising on a helmet. After all, I can change the helmet, I can't change my head!

Also, I can find absolutely no information about KYT anywhere on the internet. I can't even find a SHARP rating. Can somewhere tell me if it is actually good? :/ I bought it because I remember someone mentioning it earlier in this thread.

The reason I am asking for the smoked visor is, there are too many people using High Beam here and it gives me a head ache. I can't stand it. I'm not sure how well the clear visor can handle the glare. I am just assuming the smoked visor is better at handling glare.

Thank you for the tip Sunny, I will definitely get in touch with DSG now and will get back to you if necessary. I've dropped them a mail through their contact page for now. I hope they respond.

Lovely to have helpful people like you in the community!

Sorry for not reading past pages but Sunny are you an SPG rep? If yes, would it be possible for you to post real life pics of the newer MT Axxis Geo 4 in matte black+ orange, please. I am confused between that and MT revenge evo.

              In a manner of speaking....

You can look them up on the FB page. www.facebook.com/SpartanProGear.

The Axxis and Revenge are two different model helmets completely, so I'm assuming that your primary concern is the graphics.

                  Guys I own a HJC CL-17 redline.
Bought it from Let's gear up, b'lore.
The wind noise is minimal. Well I used to own a local helmet before this and a steelbird adonis.
My major concern are the cheekpads, they are giving me hell. I have to hold the fishmouth all the time. Sometimes I bit myself.
The rest of the fit is OK and there's no doubt about the quality here.
The next gripe is the visor. It is a bittersweet thing. It is cool coz I never felt there was a visor b4 me. so clear, but then it fogs up so easily that I can't use it until i see hot sun.[emoji35]

I don't commute much, but this thing killed all my dreams of nice long monsoon road trip. I can't even wear this to the nearest petrol bunk ⛽ 3kms away without getting scared in this Mysore weather.

Also there is no chin guard. I noticed a velcro inside near the chin vent but don't know what is it for.

                  Can anyone enlighten me please.
I know about pinlocks, but never thought we'd need one here. Anyway I don't think they're avaliable in India yet. Also let me know if different visors might help. Are the smoked or iridium visors available yet for the CL-17 yet?

Different how? I thought they really similar in the photos on spg website, shape and structure wise, and the features look similar too from what I could make of it. Please help, need to order by tomorrow.

They look similar but are not the same helmet. The Revenge is a premium range model with many differences in the shell, ventilation and lining, while the Axxis is a cheaper helmet. They both are ECE/DOT rated but the Revenge comes with the additional 5Star SHARP rating - to my knowledge the only helmet in India being sold in the mass market with this distinction. In a nutshell, if you're on a budget, the Axxis. If not, the Revenge.

Finally after too much R&D got my HJC CS-R2 from Helmet Paradise... I haven't tried the helmet in road... But whenever I wear it the face shield fogs from inside...

The US websites have plenty of Breath Guards for HJC... Can any LS2 helmet owners please advice me whether the LS2 Breath Guard would suit HJC CS-R2... The CS-R2 has three holes for mounting breath guard...

There is a very major diff the CL and FG... The FG is the baby brother of the RPHA range, so it's made from a diff composite material that is much closer to the RPHA... The CL is not made from as strong a material... Then the FG is SNELL rated as well as DOT while the CL is only DOT... The CL headshape is also designed more for the tourer, commuter while the FG has a more aggressive fit... All in all? The FG is a much better helmet. Do check out the Revzilla.com videos for both for a complete understanding of the diff

I know this is very late. Hopefully you've for ur helmet by now, but I just came across this post so thought id reply...
The K3 is a lovely helmet, one it AGVs hot sellers, and you should check it out... Though in the same price range, the HJC FG17 is rated to be better helmet when in comes to protection and ventilation...
Also, sbkstore.in is great, and you can purchase without worries... I bough pair of Dianese Knee Guards and they arrived perfectly and in time... They reply very quickly to mails which I love... I hope this helps, and do post pics and reviews of the helmet you take!
