Believe me dude - I reached office at 9 and since then I have been watching ICON, rideicon.com, ICON helmets in motosport.com, Airmada Ganesh, Harbinger, Freaky tiki, Alliance and likes. Everytime I look at their merchandise and videos I get goosebumps. Hope I can own one soon.

since i got my LS2 i wanted to get Icon Alliance Lucky Lid... thats the most fab helmet i found.. but after this new launch of ganesha... man ... i will be picking up one soon.. need to find someone who can carry it for me now from states...

Don't buy the AGV k3..Your ears will hurt after 4 hrs of riding. I bought the AGV k3 chicken and yeah its good for riding around town but if you do long rides then your ears will hurt....really painfully hurt.

the wind noise is that bad?

k3 is an amazing helmet.. also look for icon alliance lucky lid..
Icon helmets are good too.. have a look and fit right in your budget...

icon helmets graphics are outstanding
they scream out in their designs

at present i see they are very limited designs available online

i own two AGV K3 helmets. i've even used them for long rides.

i haven't had the "ears will hurt after 4 hours of riding" issue that you've mentioned.

are you referring to the the inside of the helmet pressing/putting pressure on your ears?

because that would have more to do with the helmet size than the model itself.

kindly clarify.

1) I've been using it for about 2mnths now, and I had used an RJays GP2 for 3-4yrs before that.
As for the liners, they were tight for the first week, but eased out nicely to fit snugly. So they form as per ur face over use, so I recommend buy a tight fit first, as after breakdown period it gets very comfy.

2) the ones sold in India come stock with a clear visor but dealers have the tinted ones too.. Visors start at about ₹2000 so you can get it with those.

3) one major negative I'm facing, that I'm trying to resolve, is wind noise. I'd like to differentiate between wind noise and outside noise though. This is by far the quietest helmet I've used once I shut the visor, everything is peaceful yet audible, it makes the ride a lot more pleasant. But once I cross 80kmph, wind noise starts under the ears, and unbearable amounts. Noise besides wind is still astonishingly muted, which is amazing. I think this is more a problem of fit than anything else, cause the helmet is aerodynamically perfect. I do have a slightly odd shaped head, so I'm experimenting with balaclavas and scarfs to see if it sorts it out

PROS:- 1) ventilation is amazing. If I open the chin vent, I can feel physical breeze on my face. It's awesome.
2) it's really light! Makes it very comfy to use for long rides, I ride 50-60km daily.
3) this is the only helmet in this price range that comes with a carbon composite shell, which is premium grade.

If you stay in Mumbai, I suggest you meet me and use my helmet for a high speed blast. If you don't have the wind noise issue, then I assure you you won't get a helmet as good as this.
PS:- I have a small head, so I use a size Small.

Like u mentioned, weight is the primary reason I am drawn to this helmet.

Are u having the wind noise issue even with the top air vents closed?

Yea man, unfortunately I'm having it with the vents closed also. I noticed the wind is from beneath, the area under the ears. It is a brilliant helmet, no doubt about that, but if God forbid you get the wind noise too, you'll hate urself for spending that much on a helmet that does that.
Alternately, do check out the Airoh Helmets too, I'm not sure if they have a dealer in Banglore though, but they are ridiculously light, and 100% Made in Italy.
I remember someone saying Orion Yamaha, near Forum Mall is an official distributer for Airoh, i strongly suggest you give those a look too.

Thanks dude..I checked Airoh helmets but was somehow not impressed.
Why dont you try using something like the 3M earplugs and see if it helps?

Im currently using those 3M earplugs only, but even though they solve the wind noise issue, i feel they cut out too much external noise too, makes it hard to sometimes hear that car that is creeping up on you. So I've ordered these, NoNoise Motorsport Noise Filter Ear Protection - RevZilla lets hope they work, or ill have to stick with the 3Ms

Is their anyway to block out high beams using a certain type of visor? I have a LS2 helmet with a tinted visor but it is of no use against high beam. Have to almost come to standstill with high beam cars coming from opposite way..
Any idea on how to manage?

Keep you visor clean at all times. For longer trips carry a cleaner with you. There is no replacement for a good quality,clean,scratch-free visor. I use a pair of night riding goggles from fastrack, it may sound tacky but believe me, it's worth trying out. Have tried it in a lot of night rides and they are the ones I found most effective in reducing high beam glares.

I use a pair of night riding goggles from fastrack, it may sound tacky but believe me, it's worth trying out. Have tried it in a lot of night rides and they are the ones I found most effective in reducing high beam glares.

I totally agree. And always buy a spare visor and keep for future use. Cause visors are not always available, as i found out when i wanted a new visor for my Rjays GP2, and didn't get one. Ever.

Also, do post a link to the fasttracks you use. I used to have a yellow tint one for night riding which would cut out glare nicely.

Hi xionite.. The wind noise is not the problem, it's well controlled. It's the inside of the helmet, the part which touches the ears. The sizing is also correct..I did measure the circumference of my head and got the appropriate size. I don't know why but it hurts like hell. The sizing is 58 and when I put it on its a really tight fit..like my cheeks are really pushed in. I tired a shark helmet..don't remember the model no. But this shark helmet is really comfortable in 58 size. Plus it has cutouts around the ear parts inside the helmet and the cheek pads are of much better quality than the K3.

Is there any special liquid available for cleaning visor? Glares are ruled out for me since i already wear glasses.
