Hello! Was searching for a showroom/dealers of helmets in Kolkata, didn't find any.
Can anyone inform about the availability of HJC/SOL/LS2 (airpump model) in Kolkata?

there are a couple of shops in the Barabazar area for helmets, but they are not exclusive helmets shops. and they do not have SOL/LS2/HJC. i dont think they have heard about HJC :P

they sell mainly Studds and Vega. if you visit them, they will convince you that Vegas and Studds are the best in the world. They are excellent salesmen.

IIRC, another Kolkata guy was asking the same question. I guess you will ahve to order from outside the state and have them ship to you.

Kyt is available online only and Im pretty sure I will get Vega at any Helmet Store.... Which one should I opt for???

Maybe. But I would suggest not to go for showroom provided helmets. Mostly they are company branded helmets (suzuki in your case) and you can not be sure about the genuineness of those helmets.

Better buy from the authorized distributor.

chances are that the price for which you will be buying a Suzuki branded helmet from the showroom will be equal to the price for a much better and DOT/ECE/Sharp rated helmet from a reputed helmet maker brand.

better to burn a little bit of petrol, spend sometime getting a better helmet. after all, its your own head you will protecting!!

Hi! I got it from Wellington. That shop has pretty good collection of LS2. I got an airpump model. Costs much lower than quoted in all sites, including flipkart.

You just bought yourself a fake LS2.
Never ever buy a lid from wellington, 99% of the LS2 they sell are fakes.
If u want HJC, SOL, KYT go to gear up which is in Bhawanipur and for spartan products and LS2 go to B.P.Roadies which is in Khannah.

Well, first things first!
1. Avoid typing in capitals throughout. It means you're shouting! Also, refrain from using SMS lingo on the forum.
2. Just because Vega visors are easily available, it should never mean that I shouldn't get a better helmet if my budget allows. One can always get spare visors from bigger cities/online media.

I do already have a LS2 FF350 bought from Bangalore. I do know about the fakes, but after trying various shops in Guwahati and Kolkata, I went ahead as this has far more better quality than the ones checked and even the one I wear! Maybe that cleared my doubt of buying a fake!

Finally...after so much of wait, I'm very happy to share the pics of my new LS2 helmet.


Previously I had a very bad experience with Snapdeal when I received a broken helmet. Based on someone's suggestion from earlier post in the thread, I tried finding a seller of LS2 helmets in delhi but that didn't help as there were very limited guys who are dealing in LS2 and every time they had this response that the helmet are under transition and it will be there in the shops by next week. After waiting for a long time I gave up on this idea and ordered one from Flipkart. This time I chose the payment method as Cash on Delivery. Post receipt of the courier I examined it thoroughly. The payment was only done after I was convinced with the package I received.
