Hi folks.. I've zeroed on to 2 helmets MT Blade & MT Matrix. I can't make up my mind on which to buy.
Here is the confusions... prefer the Blade cause of the internal visor.. Very much useful for me as I can't use sunglasses cause I have power glasses
    Prefer Matrix cause it's lighter....

Please give your suggestions and comparison on these two helmets..

I am looking for something light in weight and has low wind noise...

Currently am using SOL Dual Sport which is quiet heavy when compare to both the above listed MT

Hi, even I would go with Blade as it has 2 visors and also I guess price is less than Matrix.
Matrix is supposedly light weight, if a heavy helmet is not a concern, I would opt for dual visor.
Honestly, changing visors for day and night is not something we would do regularly. hence...my suggestion for dual visor.

I have tried on both the matrix and the blade.. Honestly, for the price, I did not find the weight to be much less in effect. Cannot comment about wind resistance as I have not tried it on ride. But with the price point and dual visor, and the fact that weight reduction was not too great, the blade was a clear winner for me.

It offers good wind resistance, and is fairly quiet. Wind noise could be an issue on 85+ speeds. But apart from that, its a good helmet.

        Cheers!

Tried out the MT yesterday for a 2km city ride. I must say the fit is really snug. But with the kind of hot weather prevailing now, I was sweating a lot. @Sunnyside_up!: BP Roadies has no stock of visors at the moment. Need an mercury/iridium visor soon. I don't like the clear visor much.

OT:Ever since I upgraded the phone, I lost the Xbhp official app. Using Tapatalk instead, which I don't like much. Any other workaround? Loved the Xbhp app. Can't find it on the PlayStore. Please share the apk file or the link to download.

Are you asking about the weight? If so, the Matrix is definitely lighter. On track, definitely also superior.

However, the Blade though heavier doesn't feel so because of the superb weight distribution and balance of the shell. If I had to choose personally?

Well let me put it this way - I'm a tourer at heart and I have about a dozen helmets at home, with several already mounted with Sena clamp kits, which means I just have to plug in my headset and I'm ready to roll. Yet of the 42 thousand odd kms I rode last year, about 35k kms were with my Blade.

                  Thank you...
Yes.. I was asking about the weight... As currently I am using SOL dual sport which is pretty heavy and
Blade definitely is lighter than the SOL dual sport...

One more question... If I'm not wrong you have used the dual sport in the past for touring.. And with my experience of using the dual sport I would say the wind noise/whistling is on the higher side...
How much of a difference would the Blade bring, in comparison to the SOL dual sport??
I presume and hope it would be much much quieter with the Blade.

Noise is relative, and depends on many factors. However, in a very un-scientific comparison, I would say the Blade is quieter. Dual sports catch wind because of the peak and the Blade does not have one, hence this is not a real apples to apples comparison.
