Re: Helmets

Is SparX a better brand than LS2

----consecutive posts auto-merged-----

Rs1000-2500 Range
Studds : Chrome Decor, Rhyno , Shifter, Scorpion
Vega : Gliss, Axor

LS2 : Available at almost 2600-2700 range but I personally would ask to stay away from the fakes

Rs2500-4000 Range
Sparx : Old Sparx models are still available in market without bill in 3000-3500 range
Some old models of SOL falls in the same range

Rs4000-6000 Range
SOL Hornet : 4950
SOL Dragon 5700
SOL Unicorn 5700
SOL cat : 5800
SOL metal Man : 5400
SOL solid colors : 5500-5900

MT Atom/Geo3-4/Vector/ - 4150
MT optimus - 5200
MT blade Raceline : 5650

HJC CS-R2 Seca/Injector - 6000

Rs6000-9000 Range
MT Matrix : 8600
Airoh Speedfire : 7800

For the time being I have compiled few of the helmets , if I missed any please let me know via PM or Visitor message so that I can edit this post

P.S : I really hope now there wont be same questions again and again regarding helmets falling in this range.

Not a single THH on the list? Everything of Sol (shit brand IMO).

Also where can I get sparX at that price?

And your reasons of excluding the LS2 are debatable.

And vega? seriously? VEGA?!?!?!?!?!

Also where can I get sparX at that price?

Did you read the sentence where I mentioned that if I missed any helmet, let me know. On top of that, I personally have seen very few THH helmets, so kept it away from the list.

Now if you have seen I just mentioned Axor from Vega, which is atleast better than those roadside helmets and falls in the specified range too.

If you are in Delhi, head to Mahalaxmi or Chopra, they still have Sparx and in the same range, but yes those are old stock. Rather I went to chopra a month back, he had Pow graphic with him.

Same way for you Vega came as a shock, new lot of LS2 is same to me, I wont recommend anyone a helmet thats still finding a suitable answer to prove that they are genuine.

Now coming to the shit brand, i.e. in your opinion, I just mentioned what brands fall under that price range, whats wrong if SOL have a big range?

You have a problem with Vega and SOL, go ahead buy some other brand.

The post is not a compulsion that the buyer has to buy only the brands that I wrote.

Also, it is somewhat strange that Amazon and Snapdeal sell SparX POW (and others, for that matter) for 6K, and you say that they are available for 3.5K at Chopra/Mahalaxmi (BTW, Mahalaxmi = The Helmet Shoppe, or is it different). Can you really confirm the huge price difference?

My point was that you almost mentioned every single helmet of SOL. Surely every helmet they make can't be nice.

Re: Helmets

HyperRetard : Again, I would emphasize, my post is not a compulsion that one has to buy SOL, dont get confused with mentioning all models to preferring them.

Vega : I mentioned just Axor, which many people have used, and is quite good from all the models that they have. If you dont like Vega, you could have usually ignored the post.

Btw Helmet Shoppe is in East Delhi , Mahalaxmi is in Karol Bagh. Price difference can be because of many things, old models, not giving VAT bill, etc.

P. S. Thanks for reminding me of Steelbird, will add that to the list.

Re: Helmets

Hi Everyone,
I am searching for Sparx helmet for my touring purpose and I like the old Master series (I think) Yellow colored helmet with a big Bee flying on the sides. Its the old model. In the new model the Bee will aggressive. Old model it will be nice. Thanks.

SL-68S II METAL MAN VS Ls2 Full Face Helmet Corsa

Hi

I got my new Duke 390. Now I am looking for a good helmet. I am puzzled between these two helmets. Budget is not issue but I need to choose between these two. Metal Man is really really good design wise and also build is solid. LS2 is also good.. its orange and also cheaper then Metal Man

Metal man - I like design most and also DOT approved.
LS2 Corsa - Cheaper and lighter in weight.

Is metal man really heavier then Corsa? One of my friend told me that SOL helmets are really heavier then LS2

Approved and merged!

Congrats on the Duke.
Yes SOL is heavier (and better built) than LS2. Don't they both have weights mentioned on the lid? My LS2 read 1150+-50 gms and Metal Man read 1350+-50 gms if I remember correctly.

Thanks Divya

I cant find any weight info for Metal Man but I searched lot on web and this forum. I guess its 1.8KG and for Ls2 is 1.4KG? According to you, Its lot lighter and just 200gms different if so then I will definitely buy Metal Man

Then maybe the LS2 read 1350+-50 gm. I typed on what I could recall. I had stickers on both helmets indicating the weight. But yes, I feel SOL is better built than LS2.
