  • Anti Glare stickers for helmet visor

    Hi,

I am looking for anti glare (anti - sun light) stickers or shield for my visor. I cannot wear sun glasses as I am already wearing spectacles. So, I am looking for some stickers that I can apply to my helmet visor. (HELMET : SteelBird Adonis)

Any reviews or pointers or products that you have heard/tried would be helpful.

    Thanks!

Can someone point out places in Bombay where I can try atlest both MT & SOL my budget can be extended if I feel the price is right. I'm looking for somewhere in the range of 5-6k, I can go upto 8K if I feel it's worth it. Any suggestions are welcome.
I have a couple of MT helmets. These -

      Spartan ProGear

The first one is a modular helmet and good VFM. Since it is modular it will you the best of both worlds, open face and full face. The locking system is good and is easy to use and comfortable to wear for long hours on the saddle. Recommended.

The second is the MT Revenge. Good, but not the best. Too much of wind buffeting. It is a full face helmet. But i can't find it on the Spartan website currently. Maybe discontinued.

With MT helmets, i have noticed that the sizing isn't the same as many other brands. So avoid buying online, basis of some other brand helmet you own. Check for fit and then buy.

Another thing, people generally do not recommend modular helmets over full face helmets and rightly so. But the reason why i am recommending it, because it is far better than an open helmet which you currently use and it can serve both purposes. Also, buy a spare visor along with your helmet. It is useful to keep one visor for everyday running around which will get scratched and a clear, scratch free visor for touring.

No experience of SOL or Bell, so cannot help.

      All the best.

Why dont you contact SOL-distributor in mumbai.Last i contacted him he ships free of cost.
that way no issue of warranty.
I had contacted him but he gave same price as his distributor in my city-pune.So tried out the helmet and got it.
I suggest you also buy spare dark visor to save on next time shipping.

Bought MT Blade raceline sport series for Rs.5650/- from A H Helmets in andheri.

Initial impressions: Helmet is a tight fit, i guess it'll be somewhat comfortable after some weeks of use.

Hello biker buddies. I bought a MT/Spartan Kranos helmet a few months back.

So far I'm liking it a lot. It gets quite hot inside at low speed if you have the visor down, I keep the visor open while riding in the city and through slow traffic and the heat is reduced to a manageable extent.

The only issue I've faced so far is the visor seems to be too tight. I can't open it with one hand, I have to hold down the helmet with my right hand, and open the visor with my left. It makes opening the visor while moving very difficult and dangerous as it requires both hands to open.

Is this something I can resolve? Or is it a manufacturing defect?
I can't return or exchange the helmet since going to Mumbai just to do that is not possible for me.

If any of you guys have any pointers as to how I can loosen it a bit, It would be greatly appreciated.

Also the dark/smoke visors seem to be taking an eternity to arrive at moto101 to Rahul sir. If they are available elsewhere, please do post the details if possible.

                  Thanks a lot guys!

                  Cheers.

Heat issue is normal at low speeds. I am too using Kranos from past few months. And for the visor opening.... There is a cut on left side to stuck your thumb. So just dig your thumb and with little jerk try opening it. I am using the same method.

I guess you are new to full face helmets. So you are facing this problem.

Hello good sir and thanks for the reply.

Yes I'm new to these expensive helmets as previously I used a cheap helmet which I got for free from the dealer and that seemed to have the same build quality as my bathroom jug (it was full face as well).

I have tried to open the visor with the little tab on the left side, but the helmet simply starts to lift with the visor (if I don't hold it down with my other hand) and that blocks my vision.

Although I will try to open the visor again with the trick you have mentioned, thanks a ton!

Hello everyone, back on this forum after almost 2 years

In the market for a new helmet to replace my LS2 Phobia, and have a budget of 15-17K
Looking for either AVG, Daijya, Bell, HJC or Icon

Any recommendations? (Especially from anyone who's used any of the above)
If yes, can anyone recommend dealers (genuine), in and around Mumbai or Pune?

My friend brought HJC CSR2 today from Redline Racing Delhi. Wore it for few kms , amazingly quiet at speed of 90-100kmph.

Might go for this for myself or something in same range

I don't know if it's good to post my helmet's pic, but as every rider loves his helmet like his jewel, I love mine.

This is an ordinary helmet which I am using since last year's buy made some tweaks to it. I have extra pair of smoked tinted visor this helmet.

I am soon planning to upgrade everything and stated saving for a SOL 68s

Do not keep the visor open while riding. Bear feeling a little hot than to have dust or insects go into your eyes.

The only thing you can/should do is open the visor at every signal/15 sec obstruction. Now since the Kranos has a multi-step visor, it is not as easy/smooth to open, so you need to get the right technique to open it. First of all, I hope you are securing the D-ring straps. That won't let the helmet lift up too much, it at all. Second, try to find the right way to insert your finger at the groove on the helmet right under the little peak of the visor. You may even try two fingers, the thumb setting the base at the helmet groove and the fore-finger 'flicking' the peak open with a little strength, so that you can push it up afterwards.

Yes, the store is out of visors of all helmets. Order has been placed quite a while ago, so we are waiting as well. And I believe SPG is waiting from MT as well.

With your kind language/out of Mumbai/visor wish, I have probably correctly guessed who you are :-) as you have understood who I am. You don't need to call me Sir. And yes, you know you are free to ask me doubts by sending a message on my Facebook page! If I can't solve your query, ask here or anywhere :-)
Indeed I have recognized who you are. [emoji6]

So that's what that little groove is for? I can't believe I never noticed it! What a noob I am!

Yes I have had way too many bugs and dust in my eyes now (even though I wear glasses inside the lid), so I guess a little heat is not a big deal.

As for the double D-Ring, I try to fasten it as tight as possible, but I think it may have been loose the day I tried to open the visor while moving. As you may have guessed my technique was wrong, and I will follow your suggestions to the letter now that I know how to open it properly.

You've been very helpful, I can't ask for anything more. Thank you so much for replying and sorting this out, you're awesome!

Surely I will contact you if I have any other query.

                              Thanks again!

                              Cheers. [emoji111]
