There is no hard and fast rule that one has to wear modular helmet with cruisers.
always give safety the priority than the looks

SOL metal Man is good, just see if the weight is ok for you or not. Search the reviews online or on this thread. there have been many

Actually I wanted a modular helmet just for the ease of open and close function,

I was using ninja 3g way back till 2012 since then I was using my Punto and recently booked RE classic squadron blue, so needed a good helmet.

I think it's better to get ninja again just for city and sol metal man for the highway ride if I'll ride on Highway.

Totally personal choice, I personally wont risk my life and my jaw on a hinge be it city or highway.

I appreciate your concern buddy, but and considering your suggestions I wouldn't go for LS2 386, and but would use ninja for short distance travel and sol metal man 2 for long distance travel.

Why don't you also check out the Mt Blade series? It's only a little expensive by 1K. The Sol Metalman 2 has a total of 18 vents if i am not wrong. The 18 vents will maybe tire you out with the noise! But nonetheless the Metalman is a great helmet!

I'm looking for helmets which will fit my head (54cm) and I can't find any which fit me. I found this website for LS2 Helmets (they have my size) in India but I'm not sure if it's authentic. Here's the link Official LS2 Website Any idea where I can get them? I want a Full Faced helmet and the small Vega ones don't inspire much confidence and my budget is around Rs. 5000.
                  Any help guys?

Since your head size falls into the category of XS and I doubt any bike accessories websites would have that sized helmets of good quality, so I would suggest you to try out at your local helmet dealers at your place so that you can try them out yourself to know the exact fit, as most of the online websites start with the size M or S as far as I know.

You can try spartanprogear website, but even they too have S in the least size available.

Spartan’s premium motorcycle helmets collection, featuring ISI & ECE-certified options from Studds, Axor, MT Helmets & more.

Does anybody have a source for good helmets in ahmedabad? Maybe MT HJC OR LS2

Nope bro not at all, you can get your hands on LS2 but HJC and MT are impossible to source here in Ahmedabad i am saying this because 6 months back I was in the same situation like yours searching for a good branded helmet but I could only find LS2, we hardly have 2 proper rinding gear shops.

                            The first one is:-
                            Rider's Point (recommended)

                            The second one is:-
                            The rider's racing shop

P.S.:- the second shop keeps only helmets so I would recommend you to approach the first one as they are the only trusted dealers of LS2 helmets. They do keep other riding gear stuff too.

Can any longtime users of MT Blade helmet comment on the life of the helmet paint?

The paint of my Fluorescent Orange Raceline Blade is fading, only at the top portion which is exposed to direct sunlight. Helmet purchased in May this year.

Check in stores that stock fire safety equipment, you should be able to find good earplugs including 3M. You can easily find them on Amazon as well, like this 3M NRR 29DB 1110 Ear Plug Pack Of 10: Amazon.in: Industrial & Scientific
