Re: Helmets
SHIRO helmet is heavily into OEM for brands like RE (EU market), UM and even Triumph have their helmets coming from Shiro too. They even supply helmet to Mojo.Originally posted by MidnightEvil Parth View PostThanks for clearing out the air around Shiro mate!
Also, the best part is that Shiro Helmets comes with 5 years warranty, even HJC now comes with 5 years warranty.

Re: Helmets
Where can i get xxl sizes of helmets, xl is just too tight for me. The padding makes it difficult for me since i have slightly bigger head. I checked in 3-4 stores in Bangalore but no one had a XXL size.
Can someone recommend me shops in Bangalore where they might have xxl helmets?
I am forced to buy a open face helmet for the time being.

My head is bigger than normal.
Anyways i ended up buying a axor helmet...it's still tight but relatively better. Surprised none of the indian manufacturers manufacture xxl sizes, i saw some of the foreign helmets which come in much bigger sizes but no one in india stock them.
i am hoping wear and tear will make my helmet more comfortable.

If you have not already tried, try Adeshwars AutoZone, 52, Golden Square, Lal Bagh Rd, Near Passport Office, Sudhama Nagar, Bengaluru, Karnataka 560027Originally posted by LostRider View PostWhere can i get xxl sizes of helmets, xl is just too tight for me. They had "S", which again you won't find in many outlets. So, they might have larger sizes as well.

Re: Helmets
If the helmet is just tight overall, then yes, only wearing it over time might help. However, if you're experiencing pressure points i.e. the helmet isn't the same shape as your head, there is a possible fix: Determine where the pressure spots are, and using the back of a large metal spoon gently depress the EPS material just in that spot. Make extremely small adjustments and re-check the fit after every adjustment. The EPS is what will protect your head, so you don't want to reduce its effectiveness any more than absolutely necessary. Something else to think about: if the helmet feels tight across your whole forehead, make your adjustments by pressing in the EPS in the back of the helmet rather than the front. The helmet shell can distribute the impact on the back better than on the front, and you're less likely to hit the back of your head, so it makes more sense to leave the front of the helmet alone.Originally posted by LostRider View PostMy head is bigger than normal.
