It is not the steel outside of the helment which protects rather the substance inside of the helmet outside of the steel.

My guess... based purely on my fetish for electronics.. would be a helmet-mounted-display-system (HMDS), of the kind pilots use. Essentially all the crucial info on your helmet visor.. including alarms for fast approaching vehicles from behind. Given advances in LIDAR etc.. I'd not be surprised to see such innovations soon as part of bike hardware or third-party suites. No need to keep changing your eye-line between the rather low-set mirrors (except maybe for Avenger and some Enfields).. the traffic ahead.. the side-traffic .. so on and so forth.

Guys I need to find a silent helmet. I ride a naked bike so I face high wind noise. Tried smk stellar but there was whistling noise as the visor doesn't shut tightly enough. It was present in speeds above 70km/hr. Is the HJC CS15 silent?

Cs15 has decent wind protection. You will hear wind noise but it's tolerable. I ride a duke 390 btw.

Before you buy, confirm if spg will provide you with spares. If they have visors, padding in stock.

Their website shows they have the visor in stock. Will ask about the padding

I'll suggest you another thing. Check their dealers through the website. Contact the dealers saying you need spares for the helmet. And ask them how often stocks arrive.

Polycarbonate is a form of thermoplastic.

                              I recently shifted to Bangalore.
And currently do not own a bike. Sold my Apache RTR 180 ABS last week !

yet, i have a new helmet now.

Went out to get a HJC CL17 . but apparently size S isn't available and will only be shipped in August.
Was at the lets gear up shop, and after trying the CS15, decided to get it instead.

Costed by 6500 as it was an older stock.

lets hope it works out well and is only discarded due to age !

PS - the person at the let's gear up shop in Bangalore, HSR Layout was of great help. quite knowledgeable and patient. Really helped me pick it up
                              #Shadowfax Apache RTR 180 ABS - 2014 - 2019
                              #NightWing Yamaha R3 - 2019 - Current

LGU HSR layout, Bangalore is damn good. Most of the Dominar owners go there only to pick up stuff.
