You can get Studds and even MPA AGV for under 3K. Yeah they are not Vega but no less than Vega.

I saw the MPA AGV&I have a Studds Ninja 2G too. They both are good, but its just that the Vega is in a different league.

@Sarvajit: The Vega's good except for the fact that it doesn't have removable padding. And that's a very important feature IMO as we have super sweaty summers !

Dunno if there was some upgradation etc. But my buddy has the 'high-end' Vega with a matte-rubber finish and his doesn't have removable/washable padding.

how old is that helmet?

may be he should check again carefully... the buttons holding the padding lock tight enough.

Buddy, I have that helmet. So does RaviKiran&many others here. Everyone knows that the entire padding is removable. I donno who said its not!

Yeah Maverick..removable padding is the biggest advantage of Vega!!

the 2.5K vega is good
BUT
in chandigarh the same helmet costs 3.5K

i dont like the mpa agv and the studds costs 1.7K so why buy a cheaper helmet when i have budget for a little more expensive one
