@Sheelpriye: I believe that brands like KBC and daijjya (hope i spelt it correctly) cater to different market than the likes of Shoei, AGV, Nolan and Arai. Personally, I believe that these brands don't make helmets in the range of 4-5k INR, under which KBC and Daijjya falls. I think they KBC and Daijjya are budgeted helmets which are pocket friendly for middle class people, with very decent quality.

Fake is a word I would not like to use for them. If you would be getting a brand new Shoei for the price of 4-5k INR, then may be its fake 'cause I am not aware if Shoei makes helmets in this range! Otherwise, I believe KBC and the likes are just fine. They are a different market section.

Right, KBC/Sparx makes helmet for people like us, i am not sure about daijiya and i hope it isn't sold any more
KBC and HJC are supposed to be rivals in US the very same way SB/Studds are over here but HJC is anytime better than KBC and is perhaps a better seller too
agv starts at around ~15k in India, others are yet to make there presence felt

Referring to Jacob's post a few pages back, I got this image:


I saw these helmets in Abids. Middle shop in cellar beside Vishal Super Market.

These, according to them, are the new Vega's that are replacing the ones you have. But the best price quoted after a lot of bargain was Rs 4200. Down from Rs 4500. LS2's were quoted at Rs 3700 last. This helmet's lining is better than the one you have. Similar to the LS2. But by a small margin. You can almost call them the same unless they act differently after some usage. Even the Cross helmets felt similar. I would prefer Sagar's Cross helmet over this one both because of better comfort and lower price.

As per the company, it is the Vikash Agencies something that is opposite to Shah Automobiles in RamKote.

Yes, this is the one on JC Road. He initially asked for 3800 bucks. I finally managed to bring him down to 3300. He refused to go below that.

Helmet in Kolkata

Hi Friends,

Finding the branded Helmets is a big problem in Kolkata. Besides I am not comfortable in the idea of procuring something from outside without having a physical look & feel.

My budget is around 2k-3k.

I have only found two STUDDS here on Saturday.

STUDDS PRODUCT LINE-1 - The Helmet Shoppe

STUDDS Scorpion Sport @ Rs 4200/-
STUDDS Downtown @ Rs 2500/-

Tried both of them on my HEAD. Downtown felt good and comfortable.
Previously I used STUDDS Schuberth Golf.

Is it cool to go for STUDDS Downtown? This does not have a lower CHIN guard extension though Full Mask. Any safety issues?

Not exactly lucky. Its a XL size and looks a lil big on my 55kg frame, looks great as long as I am on the bike. But once i get off the bike, it looks big. Got it from Chopra helmets in Karol Bagh.

I can get you that for 5K, the Dainese D-dry. It comes in red, blue & green, not sure which color i can get you.
the made is pretty decent & had saved me from any sorta injuries since last 2 years.
