Fortunately or unfortunately i did not find the models in KBC that i was interested in... at least locally. Tried performance racing store, JC road, Orion etc. and only on eBay.com did i find them.

The KBC ones I liked worked out to around 7.5k with shipping on eBay (shipping alone was around 45 USD) and it would have taken 10 days to reach me.

But i read up some reviews which scored the Sparx way higher than the VR-2R models in KBC. But those KBC models looked hot.

VFM i agree. I searched for this model (Sparx Hornet) on eBay and it was available only on an International eBay site. (located in UK). Would cost me 9.5k with shipping.

Got it a month back from Balaji Helmets i paid 7800Rs for it . With the sparX special edition one's you get plain face shield, smoked face shield , ear plugs, extra face shield vent clips, warranty card and few stickers.

The air vents on top performs ok, would rate 6/10 but the face shield vents are excellent. You get good amount of air on to your face . The top vents work well only at high speeds.

The face shield are excellent no starches till date. I clean my helmet and face shield before and after every ride using microfiber towels.

Its a good buy, money well spent.

I did go to balaji over the weekend but the sales guy (heavy set person) tried his tricks again. Said the motodesign edition in KBC was 9.5k and he will sell it for 8.5k when Orion was selling it for 7.5k. Gave him a piece of my mind and walked out.

I got a pair of stickers, ear plugs, vent clips with the lid. I have the bill for warranty and a clear visor. Didnt get an extra visor though. I guess Balaji charges a tad more to cover the cost of an extra visor.

I too got an ear plug, clean visor, two stickers. got myself a couple of shields(one clear/one tinted from Balaji)costing Rs.700 each for both clear and tinted.
got my helmet from PRS for Rs. 8500, no discount.

I checked here and there is no mention of 2 visor's. Please let me know where it is mentioned that the spl edition Sparx comes with 2 visors so I can follow-up with Orion on this. I bargained and got 300 bucks off on the MRP of 8.5k and the lid came with clear visor only. All the lid's at Orion had only clear visor's. (I prefer clear visor's as I dont want to compromise on visibility).

Was thinking of buying a balaclava but dont need one now as the helmet is a very tight fit and should ease a bit once the pads wear in. I have a skull cap though from my previous LS2 purchase.

I have also attached image highlighting the same.

When i went to pick up the helmet i liked 2 designs Free Born and Skullz .
Since Balaji did not stock all his helmets in the shop he offered me the SparX Helmet catalog which featured all their designs and details of the model .
The skullz model said special edition includes smoked visor but the free born was regular edition it did not include the smoked visor .

Just picked up a Sparx helmet from Orion Yamaha on my way back from work.

The model name is Hornet, comes with gloss finish and i picked up the medium size. Its a very nice and tight fit and should loosen up once the cheek pads break-in. Too early to comment on ventilation but i could feel the air sweeping into the lid from the eyebrow vents and from the front chin vent. Cost me around 8.5k. I got the lid with a clear visor although the pics are with tinted ones.

hey i got the same helmet but my grahfics are different it has got the master grahfics type and from where did u get those tinted visors and how much the tinted visor cost and i got it for 7.5k

Guys so after trying to go through almost all pages and streamlining GPR ive still not found an answer for myself, shud i go for GPR brand helmet? Cause im riding out tomorrow some 350 kms to get one as they arent available in Goa. Please respond asap, youll be helping me big time guys
