Before i bought my SparX lid, I went window shopping and I think the AGV or Cross is available within 3-4k with dual visors.Originally posted by malliah View Post
Thats a nice lookin lid. You can use polish like the ones mentioned above. Just ensure that it is used in minimal quantity. Plus, it works wonders on gloss finished lids.Originally posted by abhiwar View Post

Let me know if you come across any of the AGV dual visor ones in Bangalore. I travel to Bangalore often and can pick it up.

@Hyd guys: I had been to Abids yesterday&had a look at the helmet shops. I was a bit shocked to find that LS2/Shadow are being sold for Rs.5K!
The other place where they are available is Biking Terminal, Somajiguda, but that is only about Rs.200 less.
I don't know why Hyderabad shops sell at such high prices.
Pune ProBiker had given me a reason for this-something to do with octroi, but it just bounced over my head!
Anyways guys moral of the story is if you wanna buy low end lids, its ok, but for high end lids, Hyderabad is not the cost effective option.
Btw, I really like the finish on the Studds Chrome!
Quench my thirst with gasoline!

hello,
I stay in Khar West,Mumbai.
Is there any helmet shop close by ? Or maybe in Oshiwara/Versova/Andheri ?
I am looking for one under 3k.
I already have a tinted LS2 but need a helmet with a clear visor for night/rains.
Do open face helmets provide protections against rains ? I wear glasses so need them covered otherwise they get wet and I can't see a thing.Ride Safe :)

Please tell me if the open face helmets will help protect my face in the rain.I understand they are not too safe,so I won't think about them till i see a really nice piece. Can extend my budget to 4 maybe.

i would never go for openface helmets then it depends how comfortable you are in openface helmet, b
ut you are willing to 3-4k go for fullface helmets.
Try it yourself but there are hardly any good models in openface lids.
what difference will it make in rain if it is full face or open face lid.Keep your bike in good repair: motorcycle boots are not comfortable for walking.

.....Like @sagarraikar said. From rain, open face or full face are same. More important is do they shut properly where the visor meets the shell on the forehead portion. Most cheaper ones have gaps and water seeps inside the visor. Expensive ones are properly shut and no water seeps in.Originally posted by sagarraikar View Post........

Regarding open face, there are some good ones. Though a bit expensive. Got one for my cousin just a few days back for 9k. There is a sort of a rubber lining running the entire length of the forehead portion that completely shuts when visor is pulled down making seepage impossible. I posted a picture two pages back.
I use both full face and open face, depending on where I'm riding. If you plan to keep just one. A full face will be a better option.

what difference will it make in rain if it is full face or open face lid.I finally ended up buying a clear visor for my LS2.And also learnt how to remove the inner padding completely.Originally posted by kaynmantis View PostLike @sagarraikar said. Was I cheated for 650 for a clear LS2 visor ? The only thing i liked abt funky's at Bandra was that they didn't force me to buy a new helmet when I asked them for an opinion and were happy selling me a clear visor instead.
Thank you both.Ride Safe :)
