hey guyz want to buy an helmet, budget max 3k my head size is 53cm so probably medium/small will do...i was looking for ls2 but they not available in M only L and XL are available.. i have used index & i had no idea of head size and ended up buying a loose helmet. please some helmets!

thanks bro ... But here is another thing ... my friend bought a cruiser style open face LS2 for his new avenger 220. It came with a mercury tinted mirror finish visor. The elaborate instruction sheet ( i'm referring to the one that is stuck on the visor itself ) said "day/night visor".
The only problem is , he got the bike and helmet 3 days back and he has not riden at night. Just late evening and he said the visibility was fine and hence he feels that night visibility should also be fine ...

Dont these mirror finish visors work on the following principle :
When outside intensity is high , some of the light is reflected and only a portion of it passes through.
When outside light intensity is low , it behaves almost like a clear visor because most of the light passes through ....

Please correct me if im wrong ...

Mercuric/Tinted visors are not meant for night riding.. !
It is clearly mentioned on the visor itself. Moreover after switching from a mercuric to a clear visor .. i found the clear one too Good... the visibility is so darn good... be it night or day ... i find it pretty safe and practical too.

I bought myself Pulsar 220F Black. Would be delivered soon.
I want to buy a nice helmet now.
I have checked vegaauto.com, liked the offroader helmet, but my friends advised not go for it as it wont be confortable.
They advised me to go for a Full Face.
My cousin's friend got an LS2 Phobia from Bangalore, its just awesome, but he got it from Bangalore. Is it available in Mumbai?
My budget is around 2k, can extend upto 3 k.
Btw are helmets too measured in XXL unit(no idea about it), i am 6.1 so i think only XXL would fit me..
I would really appreciate if anyone post some links regarding the same which would help me select some and if possible the stores in mumbai from where i can get them

Dude there is A.H helmets at Jogeshwari ahead of Infiniti Mall. The guy stocks various good collections of Cross helmets as well as LS2... Check them out over there... You cn surely try Bargaining .....

Dont worry you will get Very good ones over there. Infact visited a week ago dude LS2 starts at 2.8k and cross also is available by 1.8k onwards. Tell hime you belong to Xbhp after bargaining or something And Pick up a key chain also as complimentary . I did that

Measure ur head diameter in cm;upto 59cm its L dont know XXL..vega site has size chart..check it out

LS2 Dragon is easily available for 2.8 k and Vega shadow will cost you 3.5+ k.
Vega shadow is lighter in weight as compared to an LS2.

LS2 has a pretty good ventilation too..!

I think people have got the dragon for even lower than 2.8k here on xbhp. Distinctly remember my friend buying the LS2 cartoon for 3.2k in blore. 5 minutes with the search feature on this thread should clear all your doubts.

He is quoting high my friend. It (DRAGON) is available @ 2.8 k in bangalore.

Try getting him down to 2.5k or 2.6k for LS2 Dragon.... And do try LS2 Phobia / LS2 Cartoon too ... they cost smwhere near 3k too.
