Guys, does anyone know the import duty (& other taxes) levied on helmets?

for spare parts its 32% and for clothing , shoes, helmets etc its 19%. however its depends on the mood of the custom people, they can charge you anything from 19% to 32% depending on how they interpret the rules or how their mood is on that particular day.

frankly speaking be prepared to pay anything between 19% to 32% as duties and taxes. i have been charged 19% when i ordered for a pants whereas i know a guy who had to cough out 32% towards duties for a helmet.

and i got my helmet for 90$ kbc and no duty nothin. just the shipping cost

Vega boolean

Guys, just to check with chennai guys. Went to helmet paradise, he was having vega boolean and he quoted 1400 only, was surprised with that price. Hv a doubt if thats duplicate, but hv taken a invoice n a warranty card. How do i chk if its genuine.

Guys any nice helmet under 2k budget?? i can stretch a little more than 2k too... Would prefer a nice motocross helmet and preferably a tinted one if it comes under than 2k! btw i am a noob about helmets!

for 2k you can go for CROSS,but id suggest you to extend your budget to 3.5k and go for the bigger CROSS's or LS2's.
and again id suggest you to stay away from Motocross helmets,they aren't good for Highways and they are usually without Visors..the ones that have,have a very bent visor which i dont think is very good.

always stick to old school normal FULL FACE Helmets.

You should be ok since there is a bill and warranty card issued.

Shree Padham or Pioneer scooters should also be tried before making a purchase, might give wide range of options and this is my personal opinion. I got my AGV from Shree Padham (next to Helmet Paradise) recently a little over 2 grand.

Light Weight Helmet

Hi All,

It's time to replace my 5 year old wrangler helmet. Now I am looking for a light weight helmet.MY budget is 1.5K at max to 2K. Expert suggestion needed here. I also own a studds Ninja Open face helmet & found that also to be as heavy as wrangler. Prefer a helmet with some sticker job.

Hey guyz. My and my friend are planning to go to A H Helmets tomorrow to get helmets for ourselves. I'm looking forward to buy a LS2. Just wanted to ask if A H Helmets stock LS2 helmets or not because I checked their site and in the list of brands, LS2 is not mentioned. Don't want to go all the way from Mulund to Jogeshwari and turn around disappointed.
