AFAIK, DOT standard is used in USA whereas ECE is the standard used in Europe. And I guess, LS2 comes from both places. So no point in asking people only to buy with DOT standard.
However, there could be fake helmets as well. My only point is, we can't differentiate original and fake ones just by looking at DOT/ECE/SNELL...

The ECE comes only with a sticker.Very cheap and fake type.No stamp impression only a sticker.Makes me doubtful!

Otherwise,no problems as such.I,myself,am using the one which is not DOT certified.

We have no idea if these LS2 helmets are fake, I bought a LS2 Big One for 2k around 6 weeks back, from a Vega dealer another Vega dealer had the helmet for 2.5k and agreed that the prices are coming down and my helmet was original. My take is that the models going for cheaper prices are all old stock and discontinued, most likely they are original, as LS2 change their product range for Europe and America frequently, we and other Asian country's where sales will be higher and market prices lower will have the older models, this makes sense, if you are in Europe and are paying 150 Euros for something you can import from India for around half the price including shipping, your not going to buy the product there. It's all market stratergy in my opinion and all LS2's are made in China, ECE and DoT markings are there for the different markets, having either is good enough and afaik all LS2 helmets meet both of these regulations.

If you're in doubt over the authenticity of your helmet, why not check with Vega?

I'm from kolkata and its summertime hot and humid like hell.Though I prefer full face lids I'm thinking of going for a flip-up.I narrowed down to Aaron Hybrid,Steelbird SB-18.studds ninja and vega boolean was never my choice.Please advice with choice and price.

Went for aaron hybrid gloss red 950rs from b p roadies,fit finish is ok,wait is less,wind flow is good(main thing),black tint visor night visibility will be ok.Not a very great helmet but in this summers it'll save me.
