I got myself a SOL - Unicorn ( Black & Silver ) size - XS The visor as told by Sunny was spectacular. I would recommend this over anything for this prize any point of time!

I guess a full faced lid is more superior regarding safety thing ( at least that is my personal thought )

i am planning to get it from us directly so wouldnt be a problem and i guess it wont attract duties from customs!!!

btw are these helmets better than sparx???any first hand experience with these helmets??

personally i dont have xperiance with sparx helmet.

but accoring to many reviews icon is better

My new helmet.

@All - I have not used any good helmet so far, except for a few models from VEGA. At times tried wearing AGV and LS2. which belong to my friends. Everyone does know what VEGA would offer for the price its valued for.

A week before i purchased a helmet. Brand name: SOL. Model: SF-01 Color: "ACME Silver". I have not placed any pictures.

I used it for a week now. Here are my observations:

Fit and Finish:

Its sung fit.
The product build quality is good. The visor upward/downward movement is at ease.
Chin pads offer good comfort feel. They are removable and washable.

Visor:

The plain visor, has good optical visibility than any other models, which i have seen.
The inner tinted visor offers good visibility too. One does not require to carry coolers. The knob, which brings the tinted visor back and front is placed comfortably and work fine at ease.
Visor removal and fixing is easy.

Graphic design:

ACME silver it a plain model. Its simple.
But i had chance to view other designs, which are really good.
Likes by priority.
a) Odyssey White Blue (Model - SL-68s) - in my next wish list.
b) Unicorn-II Yellow Silver (Model - SL-68s) - This would attract everyone at first sight.

Air circulation:

SOL really offers, good air ventilation.

Certification:

SOL is DOT certified.

i have AARON HYBRID helmet. i bought it in a rush with my dad.
so i want to know if its good or not. I travel normally in city.
Do i need to change it.?
if yes then what is the best helmet under 2000 INR for city riding.
i wear spectacles and prefer full face helmets.
and out of vega and studd , whose motocross helmet is better

you could directly order it from the riders discount,as the helmet is under 10k there wont be any problems with the customs so it shouldnt be a problem in getting that helmet!!

One of my relative carried this for me from US, so no postage charges.

My initial feedback, the helmet fits perfectly, there is considerable noise reduction. I have a clear visor on this helmet and tried this out in the day time. I have been using Marushin for 1+years now, I see a huge difference in the comfort level on the fit & feel. This helmet has a D-Ring strap and I have to still yet to get used to this feature which is different from the one I am using with Marushin. I have yet to try this out on long drives and at night. But at this moment it is Thumbs Up from my side!!

The helmet came with a cover, 2 Shoei stickers, chin curtain & Breath Guard, User manual ...

As our Hyd Rossi puts it, stay away from Scorpion as they dont have anyone in India to attend to if there is any problem. Best bets are Sparx / Daijya and Nuvo...

friends yesterday bought studds chrome.i like it. but, the problem is its making some sssss.whistling sound when riding..and its really a nuisance while riding.. its common in this model?.what should i do?..else its a good helmet.

IMO Aaron is not a good brand.
Studds Rhyno is a very good helmet under 2k, costs Rs. 1200. Total VFM. I'm using it & I'm satisfied with its quality.

Its the wind noise, generally its from the chin side. Get used to it
