hey as the link said, i have actually started using the ear plugs about 7-8 back. they are awesome. no wind noise at all. but yes, you can hear other vehicles horns. it will not make you deaf, and thats a plus. cost just 30/-. you can have them at any good sports gear shop. those meant for industrial workers or sportsmen who are exposed to loud noise. i am kind of superliking it.

but i have to order it and get it shipped it directly to india(no one is coming from us),which will be a problem again with the customs!!!!

btw anyone here having experience with ordering the stuff directly from U.S.??
is there anything like maximum value of the helmet which we can import without getting caught at customs???

I don't think it is a good idea to get a Helmet shipped from the US, I am very doubtful of the handling, once it reaches our great nation.

I picked up an Arai Corsair V last year from RD at a similar price, and I first got it shipped to a friend's place in the US and then I hand carried it personally.

I think customs will simply slap a 30% duty on the invoice value of the merchandise if it is coming by post.

I got my helmet (AGV K-3) shipped from rider's discount...did not have any issue with the shipping. Also, they had marked the parcel as a gift so did not have to pay any additional duty on it...

I ordered my Helmet along with knee guards and gloves directly from US shipped down to my door in India. Did not face any issues with the customs and it reached in 2 weeks time as they claimed.

A friend of mine also ordered from the same store but his order did not reach even in 4 months and so he asked for a refund.

Now the only difference between his order and mine was that mine was just under 10k INR and his was arnd 13K INR .

I have read lots places and different people have different opinions. Maybe I was lucky or Maybe its a 10K INR line

I personally believe it is a random thing at the indian customs office.

I still had the guts to order another consignment for me (just below 10K limit ) been a month and patiently waiting. Will update if I change my views.

I know this did not help but its my personal experience which I shared

one of my friend ordered riding boots which were under 10k and he didnt have any problem with the customs and he received them at his door step within promised time frame.

thats why i am afraid to order anything which values more than 10k from U.S

Am so out of luck. Wanted to order one SOL Unicorn Red (medium size)but its out of stock now. It was available just a week back. . I dont settle on things fast. Had been looking for helmets for a month and just saw that SOL once here and just fell for it. Going to be stuck with my old helmet till the new stock arrives.

Got the ARAI RX7 GP - leon haslam edition yesterday . According to the Arai helmet sizing charts my size should've been XS, based on a head circumference of 53 cm, but that was painfully tight after i tried it at the prs store .
So i ordered one size larger and voila , a perfectly snug fit !
