Re: Universal : Riding Gear Thread
Hi guys,
Planning to buy knee protection soon. Shortlisted The Rynox Bastion Knee guards, any other reputed knee guards in that price range.
Also please guide me if knee guards are okay or saving more and getting a Kevlar based riding jeans like Solace Gravel or pants like Rynox Storm Evo riding pants?
Cheers!

Re: Universal : Riding Gear Thread
I'd recommend the scorpionEXO. Spares are easy to source and 1400 series has been super reliable from the start. Scorpion also gets ACU gold sticker, if that speaks for quality. Also the longer warranty period tells about the confidence of the brand in it's product.
Goodluck.

My never ending search for a new helmet is still on and with so much limited stocks available for my head size, I have raised my bar to the premium segment. Now I have two contenders yes yet again. Please advice.
1. Caberg Drift Carbon Pro
2. Scorpion EXO 1400 Carbon
Both are like way beyond my initial budget but I am gonna save for some more time since after putting some thought into it I thought its better to get the best in the segment that I can afford to.
Dont see lot of feedback around Caberg helmets, looks like a new player to me. Google feedbacks are minimal but good. Scorpion is the best as per Google reviews just wondering if its worth spending that extra bucks over Caberg? Thanks guys for being so patient.

Hey buddy I own an Avenger 220 cruise. Does your ride have an upswept exhaust? Guess this particular saddle bag is for straight exhausts. Do check out the compatibility mate.

Hey midnight evilOriginally posted by MidnightEvil Parth View PostAll the gear is good to go, also glad you are spending less on the knee guard for now. Looks like a clear plan to get pants next.
Also since you are buying from one place, also try the Rynox Tornado gloves, they have sliders and gloves with sliders are totally worth your extra ₹500. Other options are Viaterra Holeshot. (but I assume that won't be available there)
Goodluck buddy.
Ride safe
Yeah ll check the tornado too [emoji3][emoji3][emoji3] yeah I would invest in pants n boots over the next 3 years I guess. U saw through my plans there.
Cheers buddy [emoji3][emoji3][emoji3]

Re: Universal : Riding Gear Thread
Hi Midnight Evil,Originally posted by MidnightEvil Parth View PostUnder this budget, your best bet is Raida Tourbine, comes with Sastec L2 protectors on arms, you will have to buy a CE approved back protector later, comes with chest protector pockets too. Both back and chest come with foam protectors from factory. Costs ₹7500. This is what I have been using with added back protector. All protectors Sastec.
If you can, I would recommend increasing your budget a little.
Take a look at Rynox Tornado 3 and Solace Sabre.
Both get Ce level 2 protectors on arms and back. While Rynox uses Knox on arms and Safetech on back, Solace goes with Powertector at both arms and back.
It's all a give or take decision, while Rynox has better elbow and shoulder protectors, Solace has 1000D cordura at elbows and shoulders. You can't go wrong with either of these in real world usage.
Solace has foam protectors on chest, while Rynox also gets a pocket for protectors which you can add later. Solace has a back pocket for hydration bladder, Rynox has a Sorona thermal liner.
Rest of it is mostly similar, except that Solace gets an external rain liner, Rynox gets an internal one. Both can be worn as standalone jackets.
Now you pick, what looks better. Rynox comes at ₹8350, Solace at ₹8250. Looks are everyone's personal perspective.
Ps I recommend buying jackets with known and higher quality protectors.
Goodluck.

I have been hunting for it, please let me know if you are sure of its availability. I placed a order with MotoCentral yesterday and got a call today saying the ordered size was not available and some system error showed it to be available. They are cancelling and refunding my order.Originally posted by princesirohi View PostI m using HJC FG ST.
