Solace gears website is giving discounts on their jackets. I got solace defender plus textile jacket with level 2 SAS-TEC for 4k.

Well, for us men you do have some luck with leather jackets, but for women, it's all needle in a haystack, plus the sizing can be another dilemma.
https://www.zeusmotorcyclegear.com/j...eather-jackets does provide jackets for men. Spartan used to have beautiful leather jackets, are now out of sight, and out of stock. Partial leather jackets sold by Cramster, the Eclipise that's an extremely good one. Women specific leather jacket with armors are a harder to find in India. I'd strongly recommend you purchase ones from abroad, primarily because you have wide range choices and price brackets to lean with.

    Good luck.

    Cheers!

I haven't seen them in person but check out Aspida Venus or Solace Asmi for jackets. Go with the same logic of fitting, quality and level of protectors etc, though the no. of options in jackets will be lesser than for men.

Thanks, i didn't find kavac as VFM as it has XY protectors for 8k.

Looking at these limited options, or lack of, i think I'll wait and go for rynox air gt3 only.

FKR jacket has same protectors as Rynox Air GT that costs slightly lesser. All Safetech.

Coming to your other options and the part about Amazon purchase. I am checking amazon right now and I should update you ASAP.

    update below -

Please check Amazon for Rynox AIR GT and Raida Kavac. Both should be available there and are good jackets.

So I'm about to purchase a jacket and pants and I'm left with the below

    Jacket
    1. Raida Tourbine
    2. FK-R signature
    3. Venom Asphalt level 2 (anyone knows what protectors are used?)
    4. Mototech Scrambler Air
    5. Royal Enfield Street wind ( a cheaper alternative for atleast year?)

All options are from Amazon as i have received some gift vouchers.

So i couldn't find any reviews for 'FK-R signature' jacket. From what i read online, it comes with Safetech level 2 protectors and sells for 8k in Amazon. Has anyone here used/tried it?

    Please help me choose! TIA

On an apples to apples basis, TBG are over priced for what they have to offer. Period. Look for better cheaper alternatives for the same spec which are available too.

Ah! The age old question, to leather up or not to. Well, I'll keep it extremely, extremely simple as to why a leather is better than a textile for which simple Googling will yield you tons of results.

My opine is, leather or textile doesn't matter. As long as it helps you walk out of a crash, unscathed, without broken hardware, it's done its job as it's supposed to.

Leather is harder and takes abrasion well whereas, textile rips up, but still takes a beating before it does so. So, in the end both do their intended job as they ought to, and lastly it also depends on the riders comfort and what he/she prefers on what occasion and condition.

    Hope it helps.

    Cheers!

I have no idea about the pants.
Check out the Rynox Air GT 3. I think the design is kick ass and you get Level 2 protection throughout ..

    Hope this helps.

Wind noise in a helmet depends on a variety of factors from riding position to motorcycle windshield and so on.
I'd recommend you to try ear plugs instead.

Scorpion exo390 is good, also check HJC CL17

Both provide branded well known protectors and are reliable.

    Check the websites -
    www.rynoxgears.com
    www.solacegears.com

My recommendations for jackets - Solace Rival / Rynox Air GT3

For pants - increase budget to 7k, get Rynox Storm or Solace Tourjet

    Edit - Adding tips

    1. Look at material denier, in your budget range, atleast 600 Denier polyester is fine.

    2. Look at protectors, since both of them supply CE level 2 protectors, you are covered on that part, no worries. (jacket)

    3. Look at protector branding - go with reliable ones like Safetech / Powertector / Sastec / Knox / D3o. Both AIR GT3 and Rival L2 get protectors from Safetech.

    4. Try out the jackets at a store for sizing help. Both these brands run exact same sizing guide so if you can try one, you can buy another online too, no worries.

    5. Buy the one you like, ride safe.

Personally I have been using Solace Furious since 3 years, Rynox Air GT3 is a fresh addition to gears and for the pants I have been using Solace Coolpro. All of the gear has been super good for me. Just about choices.

So, they should be much more easier on my Thunderbird 500 too with toe-and-heel-pushing gear lever. I found them comfortable with the semi-forward position of Interceptor 650. So, upright position in my Thunderbird 500 should be more comfortable.
Great choice. I'd recommend RE gears, especially boots are gloves they are for the most part excellently made. Case in point, my Olive Green gloves are from RE and been serving me well over two years and not a single loose thread or nicks, taken one mild spill and one major spill on the palm side and still going super strong. The gloves were Made in Vietnam and had a Korean company's brand logo. Nonetheless to whom RE outsources, they do have their quality checked. Shame, their 350/500 series can use some better QC.

    Cheers!
