        • My 1.7 year old pair of DSG Revive gloves have started to tear (around 16000 kms of use).

The perforated fingers on the gloves (not the small dots but on the sides of the fingers the perforation is like a mesh) have started to tear.

I'm in the search for a new pair of gloves. I don't want full gauntlet gloves. Looking for Full Leather gloves with good protection for the knuckle area. Should last long as i dont want to replace them every year or two.

I was looking at the RJays Canyon gloves (link) and searched this thread for reviews and feedback but couldnt find any. Looks like a nice good pair of gloves but the armor on the knuckle area looks like plastic.

Does anyone have a first hand user feedback on these gloves? I would like to make a purchase in a week or so.

                Yep, I too couldn't find;

BTW, why not Revive again Adi? I bought Revive based on your suggestion; bang VFM; its already 12.2K on CBR + about 2-3K on Rx, still no signs of giving up.

I love the revive but need to get a new pair since the gloves has started to tear due to the perforations on the sides of the fingers. I honestly expected it to last longer. Done 16,500 kms with it (or 1.7yrs of use). See below for more clarity.

Otherwise these are fantastic gloves. Superb ventilation too. Just want to get something better this time and i thought of RJays. Why RJays? I have their tailbag and the quality is just excellent. No complaints whatsoever.

With the revive though, i had to stitch a strip of velcro on the wrist strap in 5-6 months of use as they just refused to stick.

Main reason why i am looking elsewhere is that i have been reading a lot of negative feedback about DSG's response time and attitude nowadays.

                      • Posting this for the benefit of the group...

As some of you may know, Bachoo Motors is the sole distributor in India for RJays products (gear, luggage, helmets, etc.) and is also now a distributor for Airoh Helmets, Italy. Here is a link to the official Airoh helmets website.

I searched for reviews on Airoh helmets here, but couldn't find any.

Orion Yamaha near Forum Mall, Blore, has quite a few of these helmets (they are retailers for Bachoo Motors) and i particularly had my eyes set on the Speed Fire One (link). The helmet is lighter than my SparX and the paint quality, fit and finish, graphics is excellent. This particular model is priced very reasonably too (around Rs. 7.5k at Orion) compared to the price of Rs. 8.5k i paid for my SparX. I was so tempted that i almost bought this lid. It looks really awesome in the flesh.

Most imported helmets are manufactured in China or Korea or some other Asian country (A* products are mass produced in China, my bionic knee guards are genuine A* but made in China) but the Airoh's are Made in Italy and are DOT certified.

I would highly recommend this helmet in lieu of SparX, KBC, etc. for the price point at which it is offered.

Orion also has HJC helmets at a festive price until stocks last. The HJC's are on sale for 7k onwards and there is a Rs. 500/- off on purchase of each HJC lid until stocks last. These are DOT certified.

Personally i am not a fan of the graphics on the HJC's but for those who are on the lookout for a good helmet this price and the ongoing offer should be helpful.

                        • My new ride is not here yet, it might take time, i went gear shopping instead and got this from Hongkong.
Its an alpinestar SPS leather, but i believe there is a new model now and this one was on a clearance sale so it was a bit of a good deal,
Also after much hunting i got myself and AGV k3 with sword graphics which i was searching for quite some time now.pics and details of that are posted in the helmet section.

The A Star SPS gloves are the best gloves for street riding. Period. I even prefer these over the BMW Motorrad gloves which I own. Nothing even comes close to SPS in terms of fit and practicality. These are well ventilated too.

I am in my 2nd pair of the SPS's, and am looking to buy the 3rd pair soon!

Yeah they are really comfy and provide enough protection for street riding, these are the old model ones so i had a doubt if it was original, then i contacted some bmw riders and they had a look at it and suggested i go for it. I liked the design better than the new ones,,,just an opinion
