re: Universal : Riding Gear Thread
Well, I was hoping that I didn't have to live with it. Thinking about stitching on belt clamps at the back to attach to my pant belt and voila!!. Will see when I get the time to visit the good old tailorOriginally posted by B7ACKTHORN View Post
Nothing to feel ridiculous about, indeed I've faced this with Tees too. But unless you crouch so much so that rear part lifting up is highly unlikely. If you stay upright you're all set. If you have a taller musculature, then you should try considering going a size bigger, because that may help. But even I had a friend who recently turned up to my hometown and he had the same issue, very little ground to play below the waist
I guess one has to live with it, nothing can be done.
Cheers!

re: Universal : Riding Gear Thread
Way back during my early biking days, i started with Knighthood Gloves (I don't know how many of you know about this brand, neither am i complaining
). Sole reason was they were well within my pocket money budget and of course they did provide what i call OKEY DOKEY protection
. As my rides started getting faster, it would had been mindless to trade my skin for these below average gloves. Time for upgrade. Though there wasn't any significant boost to my $$$, tried to look for something that fares better then my EX-Gloves
. After a day of searching, i found Pro-Grip riding gloves. Looked very neat (Not the ones that have fake carbon fibre padding. This one was a full matte black finish) and was a perfect fit for my lengthy fingers
. Sorry for not having any pics
. Eventually i noticed they are very short lived. Especially the left since its used for gear changing
. But it did play its part by saving my palm real good when i crashed on my then ride Suzuki Shogun
. Decided to move on and settled for SCYCO, which is my current use for daily commute and weekend rides. With my new baby capable of topping 170+, i need an upgrade for which i need your help brothers. I have seen Astars but they are really expensive (starts from 3.5K onwards
!!!). What are my other options???... (I do not prefer leather). My budget is 3K max. Kindly suggest me any reputed brand with good reviews with pics to support them
. Looking forward to your aid bros

Bro, I know you already saw my previous post on the other thread but wanted to know something else, any specific reason as to why you don't prefer leather?Originally posted by Team Torque View PostWith my new baby capable of topping 170+, i need an upgrade for which i need your help brothers. From my end suggestions are still the same as that I mentioned in the other thread
Anuj look mate, members (including myself) have already told you why you need to go get something other than the pro biker/scoyco gloves. I really doubt if you are absorbing any of the advice given by fellow members.Originally posted by Anuj_Gupta View PostDo you know where can I get Spartan pheton for 1500..?

And please stop repeatedly posting the same query, put in a little effort, search the thread, read user feedback and then make a wise decision, it's your money in the end
I am sorry if I come off as rude, but I guess this was essential.Last edited by snehithpereira; 11-28-2013, 03:12 AM.____________________

Teknic striker luks gud but i suppose you have to buy teknic chest protectors seperately or it may not support other chest protectorsOriginally posted by senotrius View PostTeknic Striker Textile Jacket - RevZilla

Teknic Rage luks aggressive & it's silver lining is the leather-textile mix it offers as leather is best in abrasion resistance.besides its also comes with a non removable rain liner
i use the supervent & its pretty comfy to wear & use. its a mesh-cordura mix with performated foam in front & you can check its pics & review in previous my post.
So, ultimately i would say if airflow & comfortable wearing is what you want then go for supermesh but if you that extra bit of protection then go for rage or striker. The striker is tempting but rage's silver lining is the leather-textile mix. If you have more doubts about these jackets, shoot a mail to revzilla team email as they are helpful in suggesting & check stuff to help you buy.

It's ok but you need to understand that comparing both is like comparing nike & addidas. So, my advice is buy the one that fits your budget or is comfortable for you.Originally posted by Anuj_Gupta View PostSorry if I was being repetitive, it's just that I'm total noob, haven't purchased any gear so was thinking hard before spending money ,okay pro gloves are out ,but still help me finalizing my decision, tell me just one name ..rynox or Spartan phaeton. ..?(won't ask anything related to gloves again)

re: Universal : Riding Gear Thread
Mainly coz they leave their trade mark leather aroma on your hands. Also I presume they aren't that appealing visually (Appearance is not a priority against safety but stillOriginally posted by snehithpereira View Postany specific reason as to why you don't prefer leather?
).
