Damn, might be a defective piece. Does the new one have the same problem ?

While Spartan products seem to be slightly overpriced, I'll vouch for their support. They've been very helpful in replacing a set of defective gloves.
I've read of horror stories with other dealers/brands, but Spartan is something I'll wholeheartedly recommend, just for my great experience with them.

I have a question about riding jackets. I have a spartan Helios. I use it everyday even for my commute to work. The jacket however keeps riding up and exposing my back. Does anyone have a work around for this? The jacket does come with a zipper portion to zip with riding jacket, but since wearing riding pants to work everyday is kind of cumbersome; I wear my jeans.

              Any ideas?

Note: I also tote a heavy laptop bag, but this happens even when riding without the load. And I tighten the jacket around my waist.

p.s: Leave out the puns about "riding jacket" and "riding"

I am in the market for new gear (jacket, gloves, knee pads). I already have vega helmet which I am not totally happy with but I will change it after few months. My budget is around 13k. I have been shortlisting lot of gear but I haven't finalized on anything so far. I still have 10-20 more pages of reading to do ;-)

I ride Yamaha FZ-S red color and my helmet is Vega boolean type which has red graphics. This may sound little off-topic but what color combination you use for your gear? Does it match the major color of your bike or you like to have contrast color? I think the contrast color combination would be more visible in the night and to some extend safe for that matter. So, whats your choice of choosing gear color?

EDIT: It would be super helpful if you post pics as well

Personally I don't favor color much over the what I really it in flesh. Of course color choices will spice up the options. As you know all of the bikes sold at least universally are always always darker colored. And using a black helmet in night is not a good idea, in the first place, reason is it can almost make you invisible, coupled with your jacket's black color. You can use Red, Yellow or White for good so called appearability in night and it looks cool when the sun is up and shining.

issues for a first time user:
1.unable to use the two finger brake lever approach.i end up grabbing with all four fingers.meaning lifting two fingers=the other two also automatically gets lifted!down to reduced flexibility of the gloves being new maybe.this will require breaking in.
2.reduced feel?i no longer know/feel the different buttons, how much throttle i have given.believe this is down to using leather.will most probably get used to this+adapt in a few kms,hopefully......
DSG were always crappy right from word go when they launched, but their sweet spot was monopoly and now that it has become duopoly they are having a tough time, but still their Revive and Nitro were excellent gloves, and now it's so disheartening to see their product quality going spiral downward. I've always stayed away and never recommended their jackets to anyone, for their clumsy workmanship and poor quality.

It's kind of an all weather pant with dual liners, looks pretty good and chic fit. But make sure you try it before you make an impulse purchase, if you have an opportunity. Quality wise, okay-ish, oomph wise very good.

Nothing to feel ridiculous about, indeed I've faced this with Tees too. But unless you crouch so much so that rear part lifting up is highly unlikely. If you stay upright you're all set. If you have a taller musculature, then you should try considering going a size bigger, because that may help. But even I had a friend who recently turned up to my hometown and he had the same issue, very little ground to play below the waist

I guess one has to live with it, nothing can be done.

                Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
                The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

I was about to post a good review of my SPG ARES and found stiching coming out at joints.
surprisingly it's left hand in which I use all 4 four fingers together. Contacted the dealer for the same. Let's wait for reply.

That's why my gloves needed to be replaced as well. Not sure if they weren't stitched properly in the first place.

take a look here for the shop details http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/universal-threads/26278-motorcycling-riding-gear-equipment-etc-shops-different-cities-india.html

Neither the SPG Phaeton nor the Rynox Rampage will help in Delhi winter. Both of these are made for winter and have vents to help evaporation to generate cooling of palm while riding. If you are looking for countering the cold winds you need to buy an inner warm liner for any of the two mentioned gloves.

So first you make a choice and then pick the liner accordingly from the same shop Liners do line-up at the riding gears shops during winter.

                      Warm Regards,

The Ares, like the Pegasus has an inverted seam on the fingers so that the stitching comes on the exterior for greater riding comfort over prolonged use. This means that the seams in between the fingers, which incidentally are stitched by hand, (not robots) have an extreme acute angle where the thread and needle needs to take an extreme sharp turn, literally to a corner. This means that there is a likelihood that the needle will not go into the very apex of the turn, resulting in a tiny gap measuring 1-2mm at the apex when pulled apart. This is not a defect and passes through QC as an acceptable characteristic of the product design. You will likely see this in most gloves with an inverted seam design.

Of course if the threads have actually broken or come off, your gloves will be replaced under warranty. Warranty claims can be addressed to the HelpDesk - [email protected].

stay away from dsg..get the spartan phaeton gloves for 1500 online from them if u can.rjays appeared well built for 2500, thicker leather.but stock of the same may be old at shops or not there at all.
cramster gloves I checked out were not of a good finish.dsg appears very good in finish but buy if u know the dealer well only.
