Is there any review available for jackets marketed by Spartan Pro Gear, the same company which imports SOL helmets to India? AH helmets had few on display. Don't remember the brand names though. Were starting from Rs 6500. Looked pretty well made to my untrained eye. Don't know how do they fair against the competition.
@Sunnyside_up! : any info? Are these imported from Gmax USA too like the helmets? or may be some other brands? THe SOL website has a 'jackets' tab but is unclickable at the moment.
As to my knowledge serves me, Bachoo Motors themselves retails and sells through distributors for the most part, which is mentioned on their website. And I have no idea whether distributors give discounts, but Bachoo Motors themselves opt for discount sales often times. I'd say, when you see a discount, try sourcing it directly from Bachoo Motors.

Spartan Pro Gear and SOL are completely different, but then they both are under one roof and are retailed in India. For Spartan Pro Gear review, go back to page 678 there is this guy called Bikerfas who has given his review of the Spartan Pro gear.

Maybe Sunny can help, on SOL part. SOL is what is sold as GMAX in USA. And yes their site is only 10% complete, it should be up and running real soon. As of now only the HELMET tab works.

    Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
    The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

Spartan ProGear makes and imports its jackets in a private label collaboration with a 30 year old motorcycle apparel production house based in California, USA. Armours are CE certified, and the jackets have features matching international standards.

AH will be getting fresh stock soon - have another look next week!

Not really, unless the dealer himself gives as such, if he's in a good mood that is

All saddlebags are water-resistant to some extent not WATERPROOF, unless marked 100% waterproof. Bag's life depends on the usage basically. Using it in frequent rains and bag packed with excessive luggage will wear the bag pretty quickly. That said, rain shouldn't be problem for the bag, unless you drench your bag in water frequently and rough use.

PS. The bag is intended to handle abuse and all weather.

              Cheers!

I use Spartan's Helios Jacket and assure you will be highly satisfied with its features and quality. The only glitch i could find would be the arm size which seems to be based on WWE wrestlers (my size is medium, i'm skinny and i've skinny arms )

                        • Does any one own or has any experience of using a PGS mesh jacket. I am talking about the PGS Model: 2330. How is the jacket in terms of usage? Are there any quality issues and is it worth the money? I have zeroed down on Spartan Helios and PGS 2330(pic attached below). Both are in the same price range. I am keen on getting the Spartan but just want to check the PGS too.
Here is the link to the PGS website. Its the last jacket in list.
                          PGS BIKING GEARS DELHI, INDIA
It would be great if I could someone could provide a good feedback.
And one more question- Do waterproof liners in jackets provide sufficient protection from the rains(medium to heavy rainfall)? Is the jacket enough to keep us dry or do we need to wear a windcheater too.
                          Thanks

So far I guess, PGS Gears haven't had that much of a reviews here in xBhp, and me interested in buying their jackets long back, called them up and enquired about their products, which are manufactured in Pakistan. Though a bit on the costly side, didn't wanna take any risk, so went for a reputed brand. Not because it's Pakistani, but just didn't get valid reviews for it, spending close to 6k for their jacket and anything going wrong can't be accepted (at least in my books )

Try going for SPARTAN, you have many guys wearing the jacket and it's pretty bang for the buck and have rave reviews about then here in this thread.

Now regarding liners, all water-proof jackets that are mesh and which have "water-proof" liner are water-resistant to a certain extent not 100% water-proof completely. And yes, as you said, the liners can handle occasional drizzle and slight downpours, not heavy downpours.

Now the very waterproof lining that comes inside the jacket can be used as a windcheater separately as a waterproof liner on top of what you're wearing. The liner doesn't allow water inside, good wind resistance and adequately warm (don't expect that much warmth) but when the liner is inside a jacket, you might have water seep in, in cuffs and some areas in heavy downpours, and it really gets uncomfortable.

                            Hope it helps!

                            Cheers!

Ultimately if you're happy with your purchase that's what matters.

                              Guys update:

                              1) DSG aqua gloves: although it stood my bucket and tap test; this glove is not water proof but water resistant.......i drove from bglor to hyd and for about 4 hrs in the rain the gloves gave up; it actually gave up in the 1st hour:

conclusion: it is good for light rains but not more than 45 mins; the cloth soaks up the water and you can feel it after being in the rain for an hout....also the biggest problem i had is with the straps at the end...they are so thick that i was struggling to put in inside the raincoat...

advise: do not buy this glove; now for those who have purchased it, use it as a spare gloves.

                              2) Rjays Sprint Boots: very good shows but i don't think it is breathable like the tag says; if it is too hot or humid, your feet will sweat; so you need to carry extra pair of socks to tackle that problem.....also, another problem is since it is not high heeled (i mean the ankles) and if the rain suit or waterprrof pants are not long enough the water would drip inside; so special care must be taken while you purchaes this shoes...

conclusion: a good buy but if you are buying this consider buying extra pair of socks and extra long rain lower or pants.......

also, can any one tell me or give review of alpinestars dry gloves...and has anyone actually used it ....let me know and i am patiently waiting for an update...

                              Have a great day/night
