Breezer costs 5k ? I thought it was cheaper.

Tested for waterproofing ? Does it hold up good against rainfall.

            • DSG Nero Riding Pants - Feedback/ Reviews?

DSG seem to have recently launched the Nero Riding Pants: DSG Nero Pants - 5,750.00Rs

I was wondering if anyone has already bought/ used the product?
I've been using the Nero jacket for about 2 yrs now, and am happy with it (except the fact that it is too thick for summers).

Any help on the Nero pants will be appreciated.

Many people here have bought stuffs from Ebay, some gripe, some don't. But the fact of the matter is, the risk is up to you. There are a lot of fakes, if not most of them when it comes to plastic stuffs, which just look fantastic, but once it reaches you, you're in for a big surprise. You have the same knee pads quoted at different price at different retailers. Now I'm not arguing, everything that's on Ebay is fake, but paying our money, we need something valuable/durable/genuine product right.

It's always a wise idea to inspect knee guards and gloves before you buy. Anything that has plastic and textile component to it needs to be checked. At least in my opition, that is

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
                      The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

Go for the Spartan gear. It's pretty new to the Indian scene and getting rave reviews of their quality product. Do check page number 678, a guy called bikerfas has given his review about the HELIOS jacket. At 5k~ you can't go wrong with this one.

                          • Time for my riding gears

Finally managed to save the bucks for a decent gear

                            Requirements
                            1.Jacket
I have shortlisted the following jackets
                            a. Spartan helios
                            b. Cramster Breezer 4.0
                            c. DSG Nero Maze

I am in Chennai, so looking for a mesh jacket. Last weekend saw the Spartan Helios, liked the fit. will mostly go for it. The inputs I need here are how does the Helios fare compared to the other two jackets. Does it miss out on anything. I really don have time to go all the way to check out the other two in person (the dealer is quite far from me and I will waste a weekend day riding in Chennai Traffic). So unless or otherwise I am really convinced I need to check the other two, I won be going out to the dealer. Spartan outlet is barely a km from where I live.

                            Gloves
                            a. I am looking for a full leather gloves that covers my wrist also (similar to Spartan full gauntlet gloves. It costs me around 2600 bucks) Waht other option do I have in this region? probably at a lesser cost
                            b. I will be picking up a DSG motomesh or Probiker gloves for city riding

                            For the lower torso,
I am not yet decided whether to go for a riding pants or knee guards. What is the least priced genuine guards other than the Cramster one.

Rain coat - Single piece is most preferable, Guys anyone can suggest me something good and long lasting High priority this is monsoon started here

Helmet: I am planning to present a full face helmet for my sister. Looked at the Studds Rhyno, liked it. Also had a look at the Vega Slayer, how are both and what are their prices. Is it good for someone who drives an Activa within city.

                            Any help is appreciated

Sometimes it takes a whole tankful of fuel before you can think straight.

It was not that far on the map.

Here's the take, after DSG, Spartan Mesh jackets are by far the cheapest at 5.5~ Now that being a mesh, which should be perfect for summer days, you can zip in the waterproof liner to save you from occasional drizzle and get you home dry. For more info, go back to page 675 or 678 for a detailed review on what the jacket features than its rivals.

Cramster Breezer, at that price it's one of the best all-weather jacket which has both wind/water-proof liner and a thermal liner, which makes it the best all rounder jacket at that price and it's a perfect VFM.

DSG Nero Maze too is kinda "all weather" jacket, except it doesn't have a removable water-proof lining, but it has a thermal liner for winter. So you can use it it summer, purely as a mesh jacket and when rain comes in you need to zip in your thermal liner. A decent buy I'd say.

Go for Spartan or Breezer 4.0, because Breezer 4.0 is the best all rounder at that price.

Gloves. DSG Primal gloves, which also "covers your wrist" and comes in around 2490 and the DSG vector at 2750. At your current budget the Primal should fit your bill.

Regarding Helmet, Studds Rhyno should be best fit for your sister and should fit the category. Considering she drives a Activa, that should't be a problem. I mean 95% of the women I see wear a half face helmets, 95% of the time. Ask if she's comfortable wearing a full face, else switch to flip up or half face. Studds Rhyno should cost in and around 1200 Rs.

No idea about Vega Slayer whatsoever. Regarding rain coats, you have rain suits especially for biking. Though it's cumbersome wearing it and getting out of it, if you're in for touring it should be your best bet.

                              Cheers!
