The pleasure is when your rear wheel slides, and you bring it back; and when the front wheel lifts, you take your time bringing it back.

Ok so according to you it has been shipped by sea ...... Thats hard to accept ...
but dude mine was not shipped by ICCWorld .... It was shipped by DHL ( Global Mail) .... and it has been more than 25 days now since it was shipped ....
The riders discount now says that i have to wait more ....
If this would have been in India, then i would have gone and smashed that guys face by now ...
It is really very irritating to accept this ... ...
I already asked for the money back form PayPal. Immediately the store person drops me a mail saying that this means that u will get the money back, and also the item ( for free ) ... Till then they were not ready to reply or take any responsibilities. Now they are saying that ok we will try to find the location of your item as soon as possible within this monday ... lets see what comes out of this .

      • Please dont confuse ICC World with DHL... the latter is a courier service company... while ICC world is an international shopping service, who will buy stuff for you from supplier abroad and ship them to you in India using some courier company.... You may know all these, but just saying...

I just checked pictures on the net. Seems like your jacket's forearm is not adjustable. Normally Jackets has adjustable buttons.

Here's a comment below I picked up on the net as well by one owner of the same jacket.

I bought this last year, my first jacket. The biggest problem is the elbow pads do not stay in place and there is no clamp to lock the pads in place. If I took a dump, the elbow pads would not help. I am looking for a band to go around each arm to keep the pads in place. Other than that, I like the jacket. Looking for another one now!

              • Which Armoured jaccket to go in for ??

My parents asked me what i want for my bday and I was very clear : Armoured riding jacket.
                My preferences :
                1) sub 6k bucks
                2) Dont want mesh jacket ( Rjays swift / octane / Dsg maze etc ) coz I dont wanna pull over and insert the liner and stuff so a textile jacket with basic water resistance is fine. I also happen to have a fully waterproof windcheater ( reebok ) which can act as my waterproof liner if required.

So I have zeroed in on DSG Nero and Phoenix.

                Water resisrance:
Both are made of Cordura nylon which is supposedly dirt and water repellent.
Additionally, Nero comes with a REMOVABLE waterproof liner but Phoenix comes with an INTERNAL liner.
I went on a ride where Tibby was wearing a Nero jacket and he was bone dry after an hour of continuous rain.

Can someone tell me how good the water resistance of the phoenix is ?

                Adjustments:
From the pics , Nero seems to have elbow adjustment but Phoenix doesnt.
I will try both on in orion motors and if the elbow armour of the phoenix is fine for me the I would prefer phoenix.

                Looks :
Obviously last preference to looks but phoenix is better styled than Nero.

So my question to all xbhpians :

Should I go in for the NERO or the PHOENIX ?
Im personally inclined towards the phoenix but only if the elbow armour feels fine.

                DSG Nero

                DSG Phoenix

I was in exactly the same situation about a year ago: Torn between the Nero & the Phoenix.

Here are my reasons for picking the Nero, over the Phoenix:
                    1. Better visibility for night-riding - Scotchlite around elbows
                    2. Adjustable elbow guards (button on exterior of jacket)
                    3. Better built (the white parts of the Phoenix are thin, & catch dirt)
                    4. Chest guards (though very flimsy, they are better than not having it)
                    5. All black, hence goes well with any bike/ attire

After all this, the only reason left to pick the Phoenix was looks. & I choose function over looks.

                    Hope this helps.

Helps a LOT ! thanks ! I guess its nero for me as well
also , i happened to notice two vertical zippers around the torso area in the Nero. Is it for ventilation ? Coz that will be the icing on the cake
Also , how good is the Nero in the rain without the liner ?

                        You're welcome!

Oh! Missed out on mentioning that the Nero has more ventilation too.
It has a zipper on each arm for ventilation; and a zipper on each side of the torso for inlet, & 2 zippers on the back for outlet.
While the Phoenix has no ventilation (except the zipper at cuffs which is on the Nero too)!

The liner for the Nero & the Phoenix is a warm one. The jacket is equally waterproof with/without the liner.
(The liner is a waterproof one usually for mesh jackets)

The ONLY reason (according tot me) that could deter you from buying the Nero is that it is too common.

                        Happy Buying!

Thanks for clarifying and making efforts for this info..

There are no velcro straps/buttons to hold the armor in place as you already know.Thinking to go for a small size tomorrow. Will keep you guys updated once I check it. If the problem remains unsolved I am sure we can have a DIY thread on this.

                          • @ ashwin208 - The Nero it is for all the reasons Tibby has listed. And the only time you will find it to be too common is at a xbhp G2G

Vibhor & I had placed an order with RD quite a while back. My boots were finally shipped on the 2nd of August. Not sure when it will reach and Im not holding my breath.

                            • substitute for riding pants and riding boots for leh

I am planning to go to Leh next year by Royal Enfield Himalayan Odyssey. I am going through various forums gathering information about riding gear. Got lot of information about jacket, helmets and gloves but I don't want to spend 5000+ on riding boots and pants which I cannot use in my day to day life which is riding in mumbai city only. I have a pair of ankle length shoes from woodland will that suffice for the leh tour? Will jeans + knee guard + duckback raincoat pants protect my pants from getting wet in rain and water crossing on leh tour? How can i protect my shoes and socks from getting wet in rain and water crossings?
