I don't believe in it's genuinity but still, what are all your views?

Also, I checked with the Cramster Store here in Mumbai, regarding the Breezer 4.0 and Bionic KneeGuards for which they are quoting 5,450 INR and 1,500 INR respectively. Just wanna know is there any scope of bargaining? I mean how much is the scope? I know some of you will reply that it depends on my bargaining skills but then I can't ask him to sell the jacket at 4,000 bucks, right! So just a tentative idea of the price I should keep in mind as a reference to bargain??

You answered your own query, Abhishek

Again it all comes to bargaining, but don't expect to reduce a damn, and then come out of store poker faced. You can bargain more when you buy things in bulk. In your case, you have both the jacket and the knee guard, you can expect to bargain a little or just give the money you intend to give him with a smile and the good old Indian trick would work. I've done it many times. Only if the guy grabs the stuff and doesn't let go off it, I pay some more. Else it's a fixed deal.

It would be lame to reduce down to 4000 bucks, but bargaining for a few hundred bucks, say like for both the jacket and knee guard you can save 500 bucks max.

Pretty much all plastic stuffs, that is not sold by a genuine reseller is fake, yoiu can be rest assured. But as I've said it a few times, a few pages back, fake or genuine do their work pretty good when it comes to KNEE GUARD and I stress "KNEE GUARD"

      Cheers!

      • After soo much of research I finally got for myself Cramster Laplace 4.0 backpack. Costed me Rs. 1900 with shipping to Goa. I feel its worth the price I paid. Built quality looks good to me. Tried putting a 17inch laptop & it fitted very well. The shoulder cushioning is nice too. The helmet holder is the lifesaver for me. Now I dont have to carry my helmet around :P

The helmet holder holds my big & bulky Daijya helmet effortlessly & securely. Also I had the laptop inside the bag when I tired to put the helmet & it bag did not put any strain on my shoulder when standing (With & without the riding jacket also). I will post the detailed review later as I have not used it for my everyday commutes. And as it is raining pretty badly here n Goa I don't want my new bag to get soaked

            • Guyz, I need help now.

I need a jacket , gloves and knee guards

for jacket I would have budget of 6K
for gloves and knee guard : 3K

              my requirements:-
1: Jacket:- Mostly Mesh. good quality protectors, easy to see while riding at night, with thermal and rain linen if possible.
2.> Gloves: need for day to day purpose. And occasionally for short rides. So not looking for heavy stuff but good enough to provide protection to knuckles and palm
3.> Knee Guard: Easy to wear, should be of decent quality. Not too flimsy..

And I would need them in Delhi only.

Hey buddy looking at your requirements for,

Jackets: The options you are DSG Rage, RJays Swift & Spartan Helios all are available in 6K
Gloves: For city riding short gloves are best. Hence go for either DSG Motomesh or else if you shell out more the go for the DSG Nitro gloves
Knee guards: You will get the 'kaam chalau' Fox or AXO fake yet good quality knee guards

Note: Mesh jackets are the ones that are used in summer.
At your budget, you can go for either RJays Swift, DSG Rage, Spartan Helios, or Cramster Breezer 4.0. Now all these jackets fall under the sub 6k category. But I would suggest you go for the Cramster Breezer 4.0 because it acts kind of like an all weather jacket and has two liners, one for rain and one for winter. Remove both and it becomes a pure mesh with oodles of airflow. And at that price, it's definitely a VFM money jacket considering all the jackets I mentioned.

If you go back a few pages, I've recommended teh Cramster Breezer 4.0 n number of times which is a VFM product.

Regarding gloves, here is what, always try opting for a leather glove than mesh ones. In case if you happen to take a fall, the mesh gloves which are textile won't offer good abrasion resistance, whereas leather gloves would.

In that context, you can go for either DSG Revive or DSG or DSG Nitro, at 2250~ and being a leather are excellent VFM and these are short cuff gloves. For a full gauntlet glove (which is my personal best) is the DSG Carbon at Rs. 2750 is the best beginner glove at that price point.

Else you can try Spartan ARES at 2700 again Spartan Pegasus at 2200, both are leather and are a good VFM substitute.

                    Cheers!
