Riding pants-I have shortlist the one on cramster website. Hope its good enough and that's the uppermost limit of my budget..about 6k
Most jackets seep water in, mostly from the neck and in forearms, but that's when it really REALLY rains hard. But most of the jackets, even a windcheater can get you safe in most downpours, but they do seep at the neck area which is a given due to the tautness of the fabric around the neck when moving the head.

Cramster Velocity was the same one used by one of my friend and they're just as any other riding pants out there. Plus it's the liners what I always love about Cramster pants, they can act as an all-weather pants as opposed to most other pants out there.

Hi,

I was thinking of getting a set of riding gear, I posted earlier about fox gear from ebay, I chickened out. So my needs are basic, so does anyone know shops in Bangalore where I can go for purchasing gear?
Sorry for the noob question, but I know nothing about gear, except the helmet, a thick denim jacket and the leather gloves, and surplus ncc boots I use till now.

Thanks
Manan.

Is there a way to wear the knee guards inside formals without any kind of discomfort/awkwardness? Wearing kneeguards over formals looks crazy!

It won't be possible to wear a pant over the knee pads as such to cover, unless you wear 4x the size of your pants just to accomodate the width of the knee pads. There is also another version of this, which has denim jeans with armor in knee, which is purely for practical biker who likes the comfort of a jean (denim). But don't expect expert protection from these jeans as these are pretty basic abrasion resistant stuff with culpable protection.

Check out this product called ADONIS Pants from Spartan, these "might" suffice your need.

Cheers!

VJ, I am aware of the Adonis pants...but can't wear jeans to office except Saturdays! (hence without any knee protection 90% of the time) xpranav the Knox Flexlite looked good. Can i get it anywhere in Bangalore? OTG are the only ones stocking them in India and they quote it at 3500 bucks (The UK site lists it at 29GBP = ~2500 bucks) but need to have a look & feel before buying.

Then you can get the normal knee guards and remove them after entering the office and carry them in a bag if you can, most do that way and the jackets and helmets are either kept on their table or hung at the back of their chair. I used to hang them on my chair and keep the helmet next to me. But I don't wear knee guards, just because I need to carry a bag for it.

Else you can dunk it underneath your cabin. Just an office goers blues and his method.

That being said, OTG do resell KNOX stuffs, and are priced accordingly. I myself was considering their knee guards, but sticked with AXO for good.

Cheers!

Guess I too will stick to the same...after all it's just a 6km commute to office. I do have a Cramster knee guard for tours.

These are excellent when it comes to close to body armor and these almost become a part of the body, but they cost a BOMB and I don't think anyone in India retails them and that's the reason I didn't mention it in the first place.

But you can consider this if anyone is dropping from abroad.
