bbsrailfan : Enough confusions! That Knox knee guards used to be available at Lets gear Up. Why dont you ask them and check if they still have it??

You can always look first at these stores in Blore for gears - Biking Spirit, Orion motors, Helmet paradise, LGU & X-torque (Sorry, I am not remembering all of them). If you cant find it in these stores, then go for online ordering.

waiting for @bbsrailfan Sir to enlighten us after getting a reply from Forcefield to confirm if anyone in India has got in business with them !!

With another query, I would like to ask @Sunnyside_up! Sir & @B7ACKTHORN Sir about some hint on the date of release/launch of the much awaited knee guards from SpatranProGear

The PERSEUS Knee Guards are expected soon. They have been undergoing field-testing for almost a year and are now under production. I can tell you that they are conceptually similar to the ForceField limb tubes and are designed to be worn under pants like a second skin. I've been wearing mine to work for the last couple of months all day, even without riding to check their comfort level and they're very comfortable. This versatile product can be used everyday, or even for long distance touring, or under your leathers on track. Expect superior construction and technical materials with top end armour as in all other SPG products, with killer pricing.

For more details, you will have to wait for product launch!

There is another as yet un-named model that is being developed that is meant to be worn over the office pants that can be easily put on and taken off and yet be stored easily by virtue of its design and construction. However, this one will take awhile to see the light of day as it is still in the design stage and is aimed only at the commuter, city-use market. A lot of work still has to be done as this concept has demanding parameters.

By the way, for those who might be interested, SPG products are now being sold in Sri Lanka and Malaysia too!

Way to go Sunny sir! Just what I had been waiting for!
Adarsh_Bk thanks bro, I might just wait for SPG...looking at Sunny's description, I'd be in first day first show!
BTW where is Biking Sprit located? X-torque is at Kasturi Nagar i believe...never been there but heard about it.

Biking is not about how many Km/h you put on your Speedo. It's about how many miles you put on your Odo. Ride Safe, Ride Long!

Reading this made my day! i've been wearing knox cross knee guards and while they are good, not exactly walkable around wearing them. Plus, got to drop down the pants to remove them For daily commuting, i've been going out on a limb and a prayer, trusting my legs to my crashguard. Nice to know something like the Forcefield limb tubes will be available locally.

@Sunnyside_up when i last visited SPG in January, a tankbag was said to be in the works. Any updates on this and what features might be expected?

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

Hi,
I looked around the forum a bit, so now I have a fair idea of what I need.
Can anyone tell me where I can buy gear in Bangalore, not the high end stuff, but which starts from basic.

Thanks,

A few days back, I visited Cramster at Cunningham Road and bought Breezer jacket and Stallion saddle bag. I already have Cramster gloves. A few words about Cramster: I visited at noon only to see a locked door with a board announcing 'Tea Break. Call xxxxxx' although the working hours were stated as 11 am to 7:30 pm. Already, another customer was waiting. He called the number mentioned on the board, but there was no response. After 10 minutes or so, a lady-staffer came. She smiled at us, called the person on her mobile and asked him to come back immediately as there were customers waiting. The other customer enquired with her whether she dialled the same number mentioned on the board as he didn't get any response, she replied that she had another number! The stores-in charge materialised within a few minutes after his tea-break!

to start with the whole set perhaps, glove, knee guards, and a hardshell jacket like fox jacket, with all the kibbles? which looks like some futuristic armor, where it is in fact is just hardened plastic over the vulnerable points.

That aside, my main concern is of a spine protector.
For a jacket I am willing to shell out 2500

Not much, correct?
That is why earlier I thought of ordering from ebay, but they have quality issues. So if anyone can direct me to a fox outlet in Bangalore perhaps I look in there.

Did you shoot a mail to their customer service folks? Usually they reply to mails, and if you can call them directly from their website, they can even help you some other retailers in your town.

I'd suggest go for something with liner when you spend so much premium on an A* jacket. Both TGP Plus Air and Fending doesn't have an add on liner at that price point. If you like these three then I'd suggest the RJays as it has a liner and it's pretty much cheaper and running on discount if I am not wrong. The add on liner will act as dual purpose rain liner and offer good wind protection with the liner on with the jacket. I'd suggest go for Rjays if you like it.

The jacket your considering is MotoX cross jackets which are plasticy, bulky and offer no high speed impact protection whatsoever. MotoX gears are completely different from proper full fledged street spec gear.

And good jacket will set you back at 5k minimum
A good knee guard 2.5k
A good glove (starting at) 2.5k or even upwards in some brands.
A good helmet 5000 and above.
And a riding pant upwards for 5.5k
And a riding boot 4k and above.

This is how you're supposed to gear up.

Cheers!
