It's called full gauntlet. Don't worry you'll get to know the jargons once you're a regular. DSG Primal, DSG Carbon, Cramster TR2G and you have Spartan Ares you have the costliest Rjays Carbon Cobra.

    Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
    The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

Slipped out of my mind! DSG primal was considered, but have read mixed reviews about it. Will skip Rjays.I think I will have to settle down for DSG/Spartan. Was wondering the top offering of lesser known brands may be better than the entry level products of Astars and like.

True indeed. That's why brands pay so much money to *convince* when you guy something from them, it's the best.

Any knee guards sold outside is not 100% genuine, rather from a very reputed reseller. These days many small local dealers in Karol Bagh etc etc sell knee guards, one can definitely surmise that these are fakes, but they aren't bad either. They really do their job for that they are meant.

If you want something *genuine* go for Cramster knee guards, they retailed for 1500, and now a new version is coming up. So you can wait if you really ought to.

              Cheers!

The answer to that question is "I DON'T KNOW" honestly pranvav And no one even cares if it's genuine or not, unless you can source it from abroad. But you can be rest assured that sold on eBay and all those e-commerce locally are knock offs. But trust me, the knee guards are really one cheap piece of thing that you trust on, they are way far better than nothing at all, expecially AXO and Cramster.

But still you don't want to buy a jacket which has crazy logos of famous manufacturers and a stating a motorcycle jacket. And check how they fit, as you know, all motorcycle jackets have armors in shoulder and arms and the back, which is A MUST.

Second is the fit, if you can try a jacket in person, that'd be even great as to which you can assess the fit, feel and how comfortable you are with the jacket. PROTECTION, FIT AND COMFORT.

To your second point, almost most jackets do offer good "water-resistant" protection, and by waterproof it should be 100% waterproof, like your duckback rain coat, that's 100% waterproof and also water resistant unlike the gimmick used as waterproof in motorcycle jackets. To put it short, these jackets can help you reach home safely in light to moderate rain and drizzles. When it rains crazy, you better pull off or have a waterproof suits. See the above post for atuladeep quote.

Again, gloves no matter leather, textile or any material do get wet when in rains, but the best protection is offered by leather, than a textile. Though a textile dries way quicker than a leather, it's wise to use leather. And when leathers get wet, they need just a little extra care, as they easily be ruined or scuffed if not properly dried and stored without properly drying them.

Knee pads are almost universal, most of them avlbl here, unless you have fat legs like Khali or Mark Henry, most of the knee pads will definitely fit you. And regarding jackets and gloves, follow the first step, FIT, PROTECTION and COMFORT.

                          Thanks B7ACKTHORN....
I was reading through some info and found that there are there are leather, cordura and mesh jackets. The protection reduces and the comfort level in hot climates increases from leather to mesh. What would you suggest?
I was taking a look at jackets online and came across a few which fit my budget: DSG pheonix, DSG rage, Rjays Swift and a few of them i checked on spartanprogear.com: ICARUS, HELIOS, ODYSSEUS.... Any suggestions??

If you really sweat a lot, then I'd suggest you to look for something mesh. Now mesh is basically a netted jacket which allows airflow whereas a leather that isn't perforated wouldn't allow for such ventilation and which equates to more heat which equates to uncomfortableness.

I'd suggest you to look for RJays Swift, or Spartan Helios. ButI'd suggest to you settle for the latter, with little added extra oodles. Nothing different from both, but you get a little added armor advantage. ODYSSEUS is a pretty large jacket. If you're using it for a daily basis then I'd say no, dedicated for touring, definitely yes.

ICARUS is a budget entry level stuff, try settling in for Rjays Swift or Spartan Helios, and if you can try them personally, that's even more good.

                            Cheers!
