Good for you, in my case, my friend has understood all points mentioned in this thread by worthy experienced bikers and he has agreed to shell out 750+ for syoco gloves.
Guy's, the seller who is selling syoco gloves on eBay has also listed a biking jacket for 1500,is that good or just a scam..?

Biking jacket for 1500 bucks? Guys please use your common sense here, where in prices of jackets are upwards for 4k and above, and ,even them riddled with quality issues, a 1500 A* or Fox body armor isn't the right choice to make. I always suggest people from buying jackets, helmets from eBay, you don't know how the quality is nor the condition is of the product, even if genuine retailer has eBay page. Contact him directly and then do the business.

      Cheers!

May be you should rather go for Cramster Flux as was suggested by VJ sir, it may not look as attractive as a Rampage but is indeed more safe and comfortable as it is an all leather stuff.

there is not much of a diff between the scoyco of 550/- and of 750/- ............. so make a wise judgement my friend.

Sir, as you must be knowing that on ebay purchases a middle party (mostly paisapay) is moderating the purchases and they ensure if the customers are satisfied with the received product. In case of a flaw, the customer has, in most cases, an option to seek a refund or replacement after exchanging e-mails with the seller. So I think that makes it a safe purchase option too

        Warm Regards,

Pranav, you can call me Vijay. Yes not only eBay numerous e commerce like Flipkart, Snapdeal etc, but if you end up getting a wrong size from a reseller, the chances are your shipping costs might not be covered, the time lag for waiting and you never know what the product you're gonna get looks like be it new or replaced.

With a retail outlet though, you can rest be assured of all the help you can get, plus peace of mind in case of returns warranty, claims etc. I've had numerous good and bad with eBay, and it's not just eBay it's with every e-commerce, especially when it comes to cheapo stuffs. Just a little discretion.

          Cheers!

He meant, mesh is mesh. Be it ₹500 or ₹700. Mesh will give away very quickly in case of any fall.

EDIT: I got it all wrong. maybe I had other glove picture in mind. Apologies.

All the scoyco gloves in the range above mentioned have textile at the fingers and synthetic leather stitched with a thin foam pad for the palm protection/comfort/grip etc etc. The protectors at the knuckle and fingers are too very much same. So 550 or 750 will not make a huge difference.

The difference will show up if you raise the budget to 1600 and above as per the current market products, which is not an option in your case. This is what I wanted to convey. Scoyco ones are anyday better and more quality product than Probiker ones.

@nadz11.ns ........... no it has no mesh at all

@ Anuj, lots of gloves even fake Alpinestars that are far worse than Probiker gloves are sold in eBay and elsewhere for 4k and jackets even more, more often than not these are knock-offs. More doesn't mean better here, it's just a matter of choosing the right product for what its worth.

I have a M sized dsg phoenix jacket which was not an exact fit to me but was slightly bigger when I bought it two months back. But now it seems too big for me, I went for the M size because it was the smallest one available at the time of purchase. So my question is, can i modify my jacket slightly to fit my body? Cause there is a warning saying " DO NOT PIERCE FABRIC IN ANY WAY (PINS, STAPLES, ETC.)"

Ahh I think jackets shouldn't be altered within any way.

All you can do is either chomp on a spree at a nearby KFC or dunk the jacket. Kiddin

If it's big for you, then try using thicker tees or full sleeved tee shirts so that the jacket fits a little snug as opposed to way too baggier fit. And a loose/baggier jacket is not a good proposition when it comes to protection, and it doesn't offer any impact protection, if you take a slide.

Don't every modify the jacket, either by yourself or a seamster, once the stitches are undone it's hard to get the machine fit back, manually. Either sell the jacket or wear little thicker inner garments.

                            Cheers!

the exact second idea that I had in my mind next to modifying the jacket . Yesterday I geared up and asked my mom and brother whether the jacket was too loose for me, they said it's fine and too much snug fit would become a problem.. perhaps the only worst fit is to the arms and that too because the dsg phoenix doesn't have an arm strap. Can I at least add a Velcro arm strap to the the sleeves? Would that damage the jacket in any way?

I would say really worth the price. I use it for my daily commute. Ample protection. comfortable, and washable too. Even after 1 year, the stitch holds good.
