Or any website which sells jackets in india ( Dont want to import).
Thanks in advance. Image of jacket iam looking for is attached which is available on amazon.com for 15k including duties, My budget is around 6k max. ( Ok if i can get other honda jackets as well)

Besides, replicas will definitely be available in corners of commercial places for bike accessories. Original ones will most likely be priced towards north of 10k.
Within 6k, you'll get worthy Indian counterparts which are readily available in many authorized stores in & around Mumbai - check shop thread in universal section.BENEATH THE REMAINS.........

re: Universal : Riding Gear Thread
You're right. The elbow adjuster's range in Helios has been designed horribly(at least in M). It's as if it was designed for an American build. Most Indians with Size M body would find the elbow fitting to be loose. I had to do some jugaad to get it to fit properly.Originally posted by Doga View PostThe Helios I think is built for decently built people. It looks and feels great and has reliable armours in the Knox protectors. Problem is regular/lean guys would have a problem with the fitting, especially the arms. The sleeve has generous breadth meaning someone well short of bulging biceps/forearms would find the elbow protector sliding around even with the fasteners adjusted to their max level. Not meant for sissies
. I am 5'9" and the size M fits well around the shoulders but the elbows are another thing.
Looking at your weight of a paltry 62 Kgs(especially given your height) I am sure the Helios won't fit you in the arms.
You'd definitely realize it once you try it on.
I was at Moto 101 , Bandra last weekend. Went there looking for the Helios , but realized the elbows are ill fitting. Settled for the Icarus, which is much more conpact and well fitting for my built. Obviously I miss out on the Knox armours but it's around 2K less too. I think for your built, icarus L would be a perfect fit.
PS : I think it also depends on what kind of bike you ride, If you ride ,say an R15 or GT 250R, then a bit of loose arms(though not too loose as you never know what position you'd be in while you kiss the ground
) would be beneficial as you'd crouch a lot. The Icarus would be constricting there. But for a naked bike with upright position, a snug and compact fit is fine.
Doga's observations are right. If you have very thin biceps, you'll find the elbow armor to be hanging loose especially if you ride a bike with complete upright posture. I have average biceps for my build and ride with slightly crouched posture. Without any jugaad, the elbow armors move around slightly, but they don't go out of place. So it's not much of a problem for me. Better try the jacket out before dropping 7K. Do post if you have any more queries before buying.Originally posted by RSM2852 View PostI will go for Size Mas my bodily dimensions match a lot with yours.

Re: SPG Phaeton
The Phaeton currently in production (since Sept '13) and on sale uses Clarino in the palm area other than genuine leather in other areas. It seems that the description in the website is incomplete. Will inform the webmaster.

re: Universal : Riding Gear Thread
Guys Good News For Mumbai bikers. Yesterday i saw a newly opened DSG store for riding gears near Juhu circle, andheri west. name of the store is Suzuki point. Saw alpinestar jackets and other stuff from outside. I was in hurry so did not stop to enquire further about the kind of stock, brands and gears they are dealing in...
we need more specialised stores for biker's needs to bring quality and price competition in the market.
Hope to see more and more riders wearing gears.
Tomorrow I am leaving for Ladakh so ill be able to visit the store only after 15-20 days...

re: Universal : Riding Gear Thread
I would say plan a trip to Pune or Mumbai (not too far for your interest). You will get to check a lot of options & can get the right size. Online purchase is an another option if you are confident with the size.Originally posted by Minisoda View PostHey guys does anybody know of any shop where I can buy a Jacket and Gloves in the Raigad region. Poladpur and Mahad area I mean. Thanks a lot!

For online purchase you can go for DSG or Spartan. Try to contact them on the numbers mentioned on the website (or through an email) before placing an order. websites are Textile Jackets & Pants. So how's the glove in comfort and condition now ?Originally posted by Mr Blackcat View PostHii...
This is Abhijith from bangalore... I own a Pulsar 200ns.. After going through the forum..
I went to the local market to purchase some basic riding gears for my safety..
Thought to go with buying gloves. And searched entire market and came across the pro Biker and Axo Gloves... And I Did not like those
After going about 2 hours of searching I Saw a alpinestar gloves i.e., alpinestar m1 gloves.. And asked the Shopkeeper about the price... And I was shocked to hear the price Just 1700rs and made an inspection of the gloves..
But their was a rubber Part to attach the velcor was cut and that seamed to be minor..
And after googling about the gloves and authenticity... The price was 12500rs and it was original (up to my knowledge and research. )
And Finally showing him the defect grabbed the gloves for 1100rs. And really Happy for what I got.

My suggestion would be for the Helios, not that this wins by a huge margin, but very very marginally compared to Tornado, with 100 bucks differentiating each. So my suggestion would be to stick with Helios, pay 500 more and get another quilted liner for that extra chilly day ride.Originally posted by ATHUL4R View PostRynox tornado vs Spartan Helios?
