What is your budget for each of them and the requirement(Touring, daily use, the climate you would be using it etc...)

As cheaper as it can get. The gear will be used for touring all over India (hopefully ).

Need to buy riding gear. Cheap and best. Already have a steel series helmet. Need knee guards, elbow guards, riding jackets, gloves.

You can buy these given below

Knee guards: - Fox racing / Axo knee guards for Rs.400 - Rs.1500.

Gloves: - Probiker / Scoyco / Rynox / DSG for approx. Rs.250 - Rs.2000

Jacket: - DSG / Cramster / Rynox / LS2 starting at about Rs.6000.

These are the cheapest gears you can get.

Jacket, you can try Spartan Icarus or DSG Evo... THey are the ones available below the 5K mark.
DSG Evo is a mesh jacket and it comes with a rain liner and thermal liner too. Ideal for touring. Check this..

You won't get a cheap riding boots. THe best option available would be to get an Army DMS Boot.. Will cost you around 1000/- to 1200/- bucks

A leather conditioner spray named Wolly is available in the market. It's German made.
I use it on my gloves, (SPG pegasus). The results are damn good.
You'll get it for 275 bucks from any branded shoe store.
Tip: If you are planning to use those leather gloves in rainy, put on surgical gloves on them before you wear them.
I used surgical gloves once when i was riding in the heavy rain, and this idea helped me a lot. If possible, put two pairs of 'em on your cramsters, that will give extra protection from rain.

IMO, not worth, they wont protect your skin in case of skid. the mesh they have is very thin.

Those on real tight budget for Jacket, try SPG Atlas. Its a textile mesh jacket. Costs ₹4k and is quite good considering the price. Armours are good and stay in place. I myself use one.

Thanks.. I guess I missed that one.. it's under cordura.. but isn't it mesh?? and same specs as the icarus (save for the sunglasses pocket)

Ya, same armours and fit as icarus. Only this one has less mesh area than icarus. But the ventilation is quite adequate when bike is on the move.
Try the jacket and decide.
In mesh, helios is best, with its knox armour protection.

I did try it. It is INDEED same as the iCarus but with a lot less mesh. IMHO, its better to spend 800rupees more for the iCarus given the Indian weather conditions, more the mesh, more the merrier.
