The jacket that I will end up buying will need to protect me from rain, cold and yet be breathable. I will wear dress shirts that cannot get damp from sweat. Easy washability is another priority. I will need protection pads. I have heard not too many positive things about DSG; so for about Rs 6000, I think my realistic choices are between Cramster Breezer 4S & Rynox Tornado or Asphalt.

Since I have not heard too many people vouch for Cramster (it also looks dowdy) and the Rynox doesn't look good (I am not too keen on having Rynox displayed across my butt), what other good-quality options do I have ? The Aspida jackets seem slightly expensive for what they are worth and I don't want to go through the disappointment @febinjoy has faced with the DSG Evo.

The Rjays Swift which sells at 6000 on Bachoo's website doesn't have thermal liner and has 500-grade protectors. Apart from these lack of features, has any one faced issues with build quality ?

Thanks in advance for all responses; this is going to be my first riding jacket.

P.S : I will be going to Let's Gear Up at HSR in the next 2-4 days.
Take a trip to Moto 101 in Lalbagh. SPG has launched a new model called the NEMESIS which may check all your boxes, including price.

I am currently using cramster breezer 4s for the past 6 months, and I am pretty happy with its a simple no-nonsense jacket. The mesh is pretty good, and once you are on the bike it doesn't feel hot at all.
Speaking on build quality, you cant compare a 6k jacket with 10k+. For the price its really good.

If your are planing to do more highway and less city get the cramster TRG2, it's a full gauntlet and now for that price range this would the best .
The aspida pegasus was also a good option but due to recent price hike of all aspida products the VFM value is now gone . It was excellent for city use and good enough for the highway . Also it's a short type leather gloves which makes it easy to put on and off . Both are good for the summer , although am not sure how they will do in the winter.

            Guys,
Picked up a new jacket and knee armour today from Moto Armour - Whitefield
The pre purchase and my purchase has been very pleasing.
Ram, the owner of this shop is very knowledgeable and helped me choose the right product. Unlike few shops I have visited he will not pressurise you to pick the costly one saying it's the best. However, will show and explain to you all the products and will tell you which one is good and why. Now depending on your budget you can pick the items.

He has MT and Kronos range of helmets. He is expecting HJC in few days. Has got 3 brands in jackets, alpinestars, Zeus and Moto Tech jackets. And also riding pants.

This is what I picked up today

The jacket cost me 5781 and the knee guard a bionic one cost me 3270

Here is the alpinestars that he has

Hi, I've been using Rjays Swift for a couple of years now. Bought it for 6500 from Chopra Automobiles, Karol Bagh. It does come with a waterproof thermal lining and the quality is very good. Saved me once in an accident. My only complaint is that it comes only in black.

                Hi Pritesh,
I bought a pair of Taichi moto gloves from Karol Bagh a couple of years ago for 1650 bucks. The price on website is 70 USD. Short length gloves with part leather, part kevlar and part mesh construction. Excellent in summers and light winters. Perfect fit and finish.

Just like for shoes and clothes we have standards, the same thing applies for gloves.

Atleast till now which ever brand I have come across follows the same standard.
You can go to revzilla.com to check the sizing guide.

But I will recommend you that you go to a store and try, may not be the same glove, but of the same manufacturer.

I bought the Blasters exactly a year ago, used them for around 12k kms( 90% city & 10% touring). I bought them from Xlimitz Adventure,Kothrud, Pune.
The Blasters are bit on downside if comfort is important to you otherwise you will get use to it in a week or so. Blasters are my first gloves i ever bought for biking so i didn't knew much to compare with other gloves, later on my friend bought Aspida - Pegasus Glove which i found very comforting compared to Blasters. Apart from the comfort the Blasters are very well Padded on impact zones of the palms. It has small holes in between the fingers for air supply so whenever you feel like it's getting hot in there then just loosen the close gripped fingers you will feel the air passing through although it does get little sweaty in summers, keep the fingers close to each other and it will help during winters. I have used them a couple of times during moderate rains, the water seeps into those air vents in few minutes thus getting your fingers drenched completely so i would suggest not to use them for monsoons. The Velcro Strap started losing its grip after 8-9 months of use but the hold still is quite enough to keep it attached. I never washed them or used any sort of liquid to extend the durability of the leather since the buy. Last month i skidded once due to gravel and fell at 20 km/h as it was a very mild spill the blasters saved me some small bruising on my left hand palm. At that time the glove didn't show any signs of damage. A month later the leather on finger tips started giving away on the left glove so i guess it did took a beating on that fall. The right glove is still in good condition as it didn't touch the ground during that incident. Despite that it is showing some signs of tear between the Velcro strap and the thumb stitching.
Overall the Gloves are very good and if you can take additional care of them they may last for quite a long time.

P.S: the attached images show the current condition of the Gloves after the wear & tear.

Price: ( Rs.2100/- Very decent pricing in this range)
Durability: 1-2 Years ( May be more, depends on the care you take)
Comfort: Bit uncomfortable until you get use to it.
Safety: Best it can provide with this price tag.
