Please don't buy gloves online unless you tried it earlier somewhere. The feel and the size may be uncomfortable if you don't try for yourself.

Btb that gloves are pretty good. If you are not particular about RE accessories, check cramster website for more options. They are really good vfm. (personal preference though)

          Hello Dixant,
Sunshine Auto is our authorized dealer in Thane.
The helmet without D-strap which was imported in may 2015. From June onward we change quick release buckle to D-strap. So its original product. There is no any copy of SOL Helmets.
Is d-strap more safe compared to buckle-type?

The summer gloves (Flux) have pores to allow air to pass through. Not to be used in winter.

I'm glad you got a genuine product. Request them to replace the latch with a D ring as the latter is safer.

That is not suitable for winter. But i can say they are the best looking short glove and a great VFM product out there AFA i had seen. They can be used for city commuting under hot climate. I have tried them. If you wanna use it in rain, try the Tundra - winter glove they have, i have heard good reviews about them. I use the Twister touring gloves. They are great except for the dye getting onto your hands if used under rainy or sweaty conditions. I dont have a problem with sweat though as they are ventilated enough to keep my hands dry all day while touring.

                  Thanks for the reply mate!
Was really scared for a moment there

                  Yeah, will do..

PS: do you mean to say that they will replace the latch from buckle to d-ring keeping the same lid?

                  • Need Review of Riding gloves and jackets from people who own it.

                    Dear all

I have narrowed down my search for riding gloves to

                    1. Scorpion SGS Gloves 7k (SBK store)
                    2. Alpinestars SMX-2 AC Gloves 7.5k (SBK store) 4.5k (Planet DSG),
                    3. Alpinestars Celer Men's Leather 8.2k (SBK store) 6.25k (Planet DSG)
                    4. Alpinestars SP-8 Leather Gloves 7.5k (SBK store) 6.5k (Planet DSG)

The gloves are either available in planet DSG or in SBK store.
As can be seen SBK is a bit costlier than DSG, however SBK does let you order any color available in the international market. Scorpion SGS is only available in SBK store or have to import it from US.(One xBhp member already has a bad experience with SBK store, while the other one was OK with SBK store service. Mixed reviews really)

I have also narrowed down my search to a few Riding jackes I would like to buy for 2-3 season riding (Hot/warm/rain). I currently have a custom made Leather riding jacket but its tooo hot here in Mumbai for style
I have narrowed down to a few:

                    1. Alpinestars T-GP R Air Jacket (mesh Jacket) 16 k
(Only rain liner for moderate rains as claimed by Alpinestar)
                    2. Alpinestars Alux Waterproof Jacket (Textile jacket) 17.5K
(100% waterproof claimed, also contains a cold liner, typically 3.5 season riding i.e. till 0 deg C)
                    3. Spartan Hyperion (Mesh jacket) 11 k
(Only rain liner, but with perforated leather at impact areas and KNOX lev 1 armor at shoulder, arm and back)
                    4. Rynox tornado pro (Mesh jacket) 7 k
(All weather liner, KNOX lev 1 armor at shoulder and arm)
                    Not so sure about
                    5. ADVBreed Riding Jackets 7.3-8 k (based on stock and the company mood )
(It has an external rain liner so the jacket will never soak and weigh a ton. Secondly it has SAS-Tech Level 2 Armour in back, elbow and shoulder: something to look at. Downside: Only available online and in Bangalore)
                    6. Zeus all terrain jacket 7.2
(Sports basic lev 1 armor and is a full textile jacket, but I have seen one or two good reviews, all season riding with capacity to work in extreme cold (-20 deg C Claimed using a thermal pack) )

Not considering JoeRocket and Rev IT: Because of widespread Zipper problems faced
Scorpion and Cortech Jackets not widely available here
DSG jackets: Not so nice reviews

I know it is a mixed bag with Alpinestars at the top. We have to consider that Alpinestars charge a lot based as brand value and EU making charges. Indian jackets will be cheaper under any condition based on making charges. Alpinestars Bio armor is at par with KNOX armour that Spartan and Rynox provide and is up-gradable too.

I am looking for people with first hand usage experience of the above Jackets or gloves or both. Your experience and my fitting is all that matters.
Any other gloves or Jackets which fits the category and you think should be in the list, please do post it.
Based on your experience I can make a better selection.

I am also looking for sizing information (For Alpinestars) . I know it is available in the website, however EU and US sizes differ and anyone with experience please share the same as a buying guide.

                    Regards
                    Som

SBK superstore says it will take them 30 days to make the Scorpion SGS delivery and there wont be any replacement. So basically they will also order it from US or EU and sell it off to me. Best bet would be to order it directly from US or EU, but then just for one pair of gloves the shipping itself is a lot of money.

I would like to ask the xBhp members to share their reviews on the above gloves if anyone has used them or checked them out. Also if anyone has ordered then online from US/EU, please elaborate how to get a good deal where the shipping becomes insignificant. Hey Buddy, I purchased my Astars GP Pro gloves from SBKstore itself. He did take 20-25days and I was in no hurry either. I compared both DSG and his prices. the rpicing was same on both the places. Ultimately i saved 200bucks on the shipping haha :P and I could order any color mentioned on Astars website via SBKstore. Compare prices before buying.
Though I have no experience/views on the gloves you mentioned above, I just wanted to mention that ordering from US/EU will be a lot expensive as it has to be shipped internationally plus customs may trouble you with the shipment. Best bet would be to ask somebody coming down from these places and hand carry them.

Always try on the gloves before you can buy em. And buying online can be a very tricky thing. I had tried on the Go pro gloves in my size before and hence ordered it online. If you can better visit DSG and try on a few pairs before deciding based on which glove fits the best.

My pick would be the SP8 gloves.
