Update on TBG street-Had it for about 5 months and noticed some stitches come out for the thumb mobile touch area. (Mobile touch pad doesnt work)So i contacted them hoping they could repair it.
They asked me to send those back and surprise ... have just received brand new gloves today-No questions asked. I think this is exceptional customer support.
Hehe, I had the same experience with them when the finger sliders had come off my tbg street gloves.. Replaced without any questions. The second time, same problem, and now they are just not responding to my mails and fb messages. Infact when I go to their store, they try to downplay it by saying 'send us a mail.. Bla bla', after they do not reply to mails for weeks together. Its been almost 1 and a half months now, I guess I will post about this on their fb wall, only then will they respond.

I'm waiting for the stocks to arrive. My choice was the ADV Breed and TBG Street. This is my first gear, and if the customer support is dodgy, I might have to reconsiderOriginally posted by Abishek94 View PostHehe, I had the same experience with them when the finger sliders had come off my tbg street gloves.. A good resource to buy Motorcycle Gear.
Hey fellow riders,
So often in india we ( specially those living outside of Mumbai, bangalore and delhi) find it difficult to order riding gear. Riding gear that is of a certain standard ( more like Arai Shoe etc)
So I found this good resource i would like to share . The website is WWW.MOTOSPORT.COM They are a good american company and I do have experience buying from them while in the US. I Just found out they ship to india and provide DOOR TO DOOR shipping. Which means You pay upfront, your duties, shipping and product cost is upfront.
Below is a photo of my intended order. its an Icon Airmada helmet and a Icon Stryker vest. They have black friday deals and I used the coupon 'dutyfree' to get further discount.
Notice if you will how my duties are negligible with the coupon code . Plus they ship with wither ARAMAX or DHL. so you know its GUARANTEED delivery within 2 weeks.
I think this opens up a wide variety of products that we can directly buy while staying within budget.
Hope you find this of use and ride safe!
Cheers.

Re: Universal : Riding Gear Thread
Just bought these
Costed me 5k and free pair of toe sliders from Chopra, New Delhi.
Have ridden with it for 20kms, Initial expression is that, they feel like normal shoes from inside, only during change of gears or while moving the ankle, you feel that there is something hard supporting all around the feet. As I didnt tuck in my jeans so the long length was a bit irritating as the socks are not upto that length.
Will post more detailed photos and a review in few days.Fare thee well xBhp, All the best for being the biggest name in corporate world

Re: Universal : Riding Gear Thread
Please update your experience in the review thread also.Till now all posts have been pro TBG in all the threads. Infact i have all positive experience with tbg-Got the jacket and street gloves.I am in Pune so based my decision solely on the reviews.Prospective customers should get to know both sides before they buy. Do any other brands-Spartan/Solace/DSG offer repair /replacement for gloves?

Re: Universal : Riding Gear Thread
When will they update good picture? Someone updated the SAS tech back armor which looks good. But the shoulder and the arm armor are type A or type B no one knows. Are they SAS tech armor or just ce certified level 2 of some local company. Better pictures are required before I can make up my mind to buy a jacket without even trying it out. The company must understand this problem. Guys more picture. The company does not have any stock as well [emoji14]Cheerio!

Re: Universal : Riding Gear Thread
Hey guys, I have been on the hunt for a new riding jacket for quiet some while now in the range of7k. There are many jackets in this range, which makes it even more confusing, but I have noticed one thing that is none of the jackets offer armours as good as my scoyco jk17. Those were hard plastic sturdy armours. I checked out the rynox tornado pro with the ce armors and they still weren't as wide or as sturdy as the jk17 ones. I tried even inserting my armour in the pro but the slots were too small
. I still have to check the spartan helious and the new Tarmac one jacket by bachoo motors. One more query, I'm a slim 6 foot guy, a medium size with the liner is a bit too tight for me and a large is loose at the wrists. I'm in a dilemma here as to which jacket to buy. Any help is appreciated
I would rather be riding my bike thinking of God, than sitting in the temple thinking of my bike.

Re: Universal : Riding Gear Thread
I have also narrowed down my search to a few Riding jackets. Some of them are mesh, but the bold ones are textile jackets or at least 70-100% waterproof ones based on reviews. This might helpOriginally posted by Horror View PostHey guys, I have been on the hunt for a new riding jacket for quiet some while now in the range of7k. 1. Alpinestars T-GP R Air Jacket (mesh Jacket) 16 k
(Only rain liner for moderate rains as claimed by Alpinestar)
2. Alpinestars Alux Waterproof Jacket (Textile jacket) 17.5K
(100% waterproof claimed, also contains a cold liner, typically 3.5 season riding i.e. till 0 deg C)
3. Spartan Hyperion (Mesh jacket) 11 k
(Only rain liner, but with perforated leather at impact areas and KNOX lev 1 armor at shoulder, arm and back)
4. Rynox tornado pro (Mesh jacket) 7 k
(All weather liner, KNOX lev 1 armor at shoulder and arm)
Not so sure about
5. ADVBreed Riding Jackets 7.3-8 k (based on stock and the company mood )
(It has an external rain liner so the jacket will never soak and weigh a ton. Secondly it has SAS-Tech Level 2 Armour in back, elbow and shoulder: something to look at. Downside: Only available online and in Bangalore)
6. Zeus all terrain jacket (Textile Jacket) 7.2k
(Sports basic lev 1 armor and is a full textile jacket, but I have seen one or two good reviews, all season riding with capacity to work in extreme cold (-20 deg C Claimed using a thermal pack) )
Not considering JoeRocket and Rev IT: Because of widespread Zipper problems faced
Scorpion and Cortech Jackets not widely available here
DSG jackets: Not so nice reviews
Zeus Zeus all terrain jacket: review says its too hot for Mumbai climate and it is not really waterproof either
I know it is a mixed bag with Alpinestars at the top. We have to consider that Alpinestars charge a lot based as brand value and EU making charges. Indian jackets will be cheaper under any condition based on making charges. Alpinestars Bio armor is at par with KNOX armour that Spartan and Rynox provide and is up-gradable too.
A flexible armor is better rated than the nonflexible ones which can transfer a lot of force through while a flexible armor dessipates it by deforming. A flexible armor is reusable compared to a hard solid armor.
Hope it helps. Let me know which one you have chosen.Cheerio!
