    Hey Guys,

Need a suggestion regarding riding jackets. Currently I am recovering from fractured elbow (bike accident due to oil on street). I currently have a spartan icarus jacket (which I was wearing during accident). It's a very basic jacket. Now I want to upgrade to a better jacket which will offer an improved level of safety over my current jacket. I have selected spartan hyperion jacket as of now because I have only spartan and cramster stores here near my home. Will it be safe to order jackets online, as I am little apprehensive about sizing issues when ordering online. Please suggest me some good jackets within 10000 - 15000 which will offer better protection. Thanks in advance.

You can get alpinstar jacket within 10-15k. But why to spend more when you can get better protection and good quality jacket which is made in india. I would recommend below jackets:
      1. Rynox Tornado - Knox armor
      2. Solace Defender - Sas Tec
      3. TBG Adv breed- sas tec
All three are good, rest it depends on your requirement and fit. You can find reviews of these jacket in xBhp itself.
Yes it is safe to buy online from solace and rynox website itself. I think they do have exchange policy better you call and ask them. Not sure how tbg guys sell online.

Thanks Suraj Sabat for the information. Actually I do not have any rynox stores TBG stores nearby, also not much knowledge about armors. Is sas tec better than knox?

I would suggest you not to buy cheap guards. But invest in some good armors. I had steel plated knee guards when I had the accident and not even a scratch on my knees not even sore. I had heavy impact on my elbow and knees, my elbow got fractured but nothing on the knees.

Hi folks. I want to purchase all weather riding jacket for day to day use. I got to know about quechua 3 in 1 jacket from decathlon and wrangler moto jacket. Anybody using these or any other suggestions. Budget not more than 5k. Thanks in advance.

Knox armor is level A armor whereas sas tec is level B which means shock absorption is better in sas tec. Beside these, sas tec is lighter and comfortable compare to knox. But yes, as mentioned above knox arent bad.

I guess Destination Moto would have them because they do stock BBG products.

Try out the Solace Threshold boots. They're very much similar to the BBG ones I guess.
In fact, when I bought the TBG full-length boots and compared them with the Solace ones, they had almost the same design, the TPU protector on the shin area, the scaphoid protector at the back, and even the little protector on the outer side of the ankle (on the white TBG boots)! And the Solace ones come a good 1.6k cheaper!
I don't think the BBG boots would be too different from either of these, apart from a few cosmetic/armor placement changes. :P

Why don't you try them all? IMHO, a 100% waterproof glove is a myth. Gloves have to have breathing spaces meant to let air in, else your skin will get deprived of oxygen. I wear surgical gloves under my gloves when needed to beat the cold. I never wear them in rain because I love getting wet in monsoons anyways.

                                Hello there,

Can anybody tell me the long term review of either of these boots. Most important being the protection they provide and effectiveness in rains.

MODs it seems the posts are getting automatically deleted when trying to edit them (happened to me). I posted two B2B comments (for different riding gear topics, they were auto merged). Then I went for editing the post, made some changes, switched to another tab in my mobile browser(without saving the changes). And when I switched back to the edited changes, the page reloaded and BOOM... All the changes gone and post was deleted.

Don't know if there's a workaround for this. Or else I'll need to save the changes first then switch to another tab.
